    Use the Amsoil bags fists for the diffs
    Then refill them with the redline oil to make the refilling a piece of cake,

    No pump needed

    I might use amsoil for everything. Severe gear for the diffs and the manual trans & transaxle for the trans and t case

    I used to use Amsoil on the transmission and Tcase but developed a small grind going into 3rd.

    I put in redline and it went away,

    So I’m running Amsoil sever in the differentials and redline in the transmission and Tcase.

    Either way your good

    Check your breather valves while your there to make sure they are free and cleaned

    I'm getting ready to flush and replace my fluids as well, so following this thread closely.

    I've seen you recommend the amsoil bag trick in other threads, and want to clarify... do you need to clean the bags before refilling them, or is it okay to mix the oils?

    Just make sure they move up and down easily and not rusted of clogged with dirt.

    If one gets clogged you will blow out your rear seals=1500.00 repair.

    Transmission and Tcase and both diff have one

    No, it’s not going to hurt anything and they are the same oil grade w75 too

    I run Mobile 1~ 5W 30 in my taco and changed from Conventional oil about seven years ago.

    I have never had a leak or consumption with either type of oil… My 2.7 L 3RZ Does not burn one drop!

    I run the exact same oil in my RAV4 V6

    Even though it says second GEN this read helped me a lot researching and performing all my gearbox oil changes.

    The front diff drain plug should be replaced with the Lexus part And I did not have much trouble taking mine out. All the gaskets and washers mentioned in the above thread are applicable to first GEN

    My differential is all wet because it’s covered in rust proofing oil

    Mostly stock, added custom wood bed rails and a Sony/Infinity stereo system
    I just changed mine. Used Valvoline conventional (dino) 75W90 in front and rear diffs, and the transfer case. I used Lucas synthetic (75W90, IIRC) in the transmission. Valvoline mentioned not using in a synchromesh transmission ( I have heard some gear oils can have issues with brass synchros).

    I have used Valvoline gear oil (the same 75W90) in my other high performance cars for years and always satisfied...

    Plus it was like $5.38/quart on Amazon, and due to a shipping error on their part, I think it was actually free (5 quarts)...

    The Lucas was about $15/quart...

    I think it is important to use a GL 4 in the manual transmission
