I was getting gas yesterday when I heard what sounded like a straight pipe diesel pull up.

Nope - it was a new charger with the @_insta sticker. Sounded terrible. The Hemi isn’t an SBC or Modular Ford when it comes to sound.

Hey, Not long ago (few months) I had some work done to replace a my bad cats. The people were cool and offered me a built exhaust for like 100 bucks and I couldn't pass up a deal. They put on a large Flowmaster and a resonator along with the two new cats. Sounded good and i can say that next to fart can BRZ's and Civics the truck sounds waaaaay better then those.

I just replaced the exhaust in my truck. There was a small hole in the muffler beside a weld. I got the TRD version through the dealer. It was $50 more than the OEM stock. The new sound is a little deeper tone but not overbearing for sure.

Dumb question. Everyone knows a “girth” is the belly strap that holds the saddle on the horse.

“Girth” is like “moist” in that the jokes are unlimited. And they should never be withheld.

Dumb only in the sense OP asked about exhaust system. Here’s another dumb question, does said exhaust system include a saddle blanket?

Only if the blanket is considered cool-looking and not because it’s more comfortable for the truck.

From what I've read, you're not going to gain much, if any power swapping out the exhaust. Unless you're going forced induction, i.e. supercharger.

For the money, the factory stock exhaust is the best bang for the buck.

I doubt you'll find one aftermarket that lasts as long as OEM.

My original lasted over 10 years and parts were right around 500 from the dealer.

One ramp, a sawzall, couple of wrenches...90 minutes and you're done.

A variant of this gem might be in order.... (When I first saw this I thought it had to be some sort of practical joke. Apparently not.)

Spend the money on HPTuners and a tune from JustDSM first. Don't bother with a pedal commander or any other plug-in tuner, they do nothing but ramp up the throttle response. HPTuners increases power, throttle linearity and tunes the transmission for better shift points. Also if you do headers, exhaust or other engine mods later you can do a data log, send it off to JustDSM and he will make adjustments accordingly to optimize for the mod you did. HPTuners helps a lot even on a stock engine.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/

A cat-back won't typically give you any additional power, just some noise. Headers and a Y-Pipe are really the only things that will give you a noticeable bump in power if that is what you're after. The TRD Exhaust IMO is the only one I have heard that sounds good. Not crazy loud though. If you install headers and a y-pipe it will increase the noise output but retain the tone. I'm guessing by "girth" you mean a low tone. A CAI doesn't do much on these trucks other than make more noise, which I like but just trying to help you out so you don't spend $500 and be disappointed with your purchase.

Finally, welcome to the forum! Not to be a dick or a grammar stick-up the butt. But this isn't Facebook, you can use real words, sentences, abbreviations and an actual description of what you're looking for. It will get you a much better answer a lot sooner. Many people won't even bother to respond once they read your original post looking like a 12 year old posting on social media. Just an FYI.
