My Plan was to try and get it done fairly quickly but it didn’t turn out that way haha. Unfortunately the universe told me...slow it down bakaroo. Did you do the dremel mod? Getting those bolts back in we’re definitely difficult and more time consuming so I just did a direct fitment with a brake line. Maybe next week I’ll place the accumulator with the mod back in.

Haha you can’t go wrong with some extra bleeding. I didn’t have any help so I just used a 2x4 and I bled until the sun set so perhaps about the same amount as well you. Afterwards the truck runs great. That first to second shift couldn’t be smoother.

Yes I did the dremel mod. I put the bolts in without tightening them down, that way I can adjust if needed.

    You're welcome!

It is crazy that they ruined the shifting with that PoS!

    Enjoy the clutching fun!

I remember the early days of a completely unmolested '16 M/T (04B10 and accumulator). That 1-2 was a complete bastard to get right. Forget about doing it quickly. Clunk clank buck clunk.
I said it before, you had to learn a completely new way to drive a stick to be smooth. Fuck that lol

I still remember the accumulator and the stock tune. What a mess that wse.

Yeah! You had to be loaded up on coffee and meth to get a shift right. No relaxing.

Just some parts that are a lot thinner now. Damn accumulator and no torque.

Had a buddy at work ride in mine to lunch the other day. I promise I wasn't showing off the fact that you can dump clutch and roast rubber now, post tune and post accumulator.....

Like, I just want half an hour in a dark room (one lightbulb) with Toyota engineers/product planning manager.....

Between that, the un usable reverse gear, and the obnoxious throttle tables..... (And the turn signal/brake lights, and.....)

I often wonder if maybe the accumulator explains why the guy who owned my truck traded for a Tesla. So I don’t hate on it if it got me my wheels. And it seems like a rite of passage for MT to remove it. Sort of like circumcising your truck.

Easy things that they could have easily done.

More of a Rite of Exorcism.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but to throw some more shit in the ballgame I think a big pro to doing the delete with flexible line is being able to remove the slave cylinder easier if you have issues with the slave cylinder/release fork interface making noise like I do, just something to consider

Is anyone still selling a PnP kit? The thread in OP is "SOLD OUT."

I'm not so savvy and don't trust I'd fab this correctly...

I just bought a hardline and bent it myself

I think most people are just removing the Accumulator and dremeling it these days

Yeah I just bought a new accumulator and dremeled it, then replaced the one that was on there. I barely had to bleed it after since it was off for maybe 20 seconds

Maybe I'll bug my uncle who has a Napa store while I'm back home visiting. Seems like something relatively easy he might not mind helping with.
