Discovered an awesome feature today! 2021 TDR OR 4x4. Found that if when parked you turn on the camera, there is an Auto button on the screen. Turning this on causes the camera to automatically turn in when driving very slowly, like parking. Very useful if you want to use the camera to make sure you park evenly between the lines. The camera button is not in the easiest place to find, so having the camera auto turn on when parking is a cool feature.

Also, handy if u leave your truck somewhere locked.

We sometimes have to drop off a vehicle and wife needs to get it later.

Lock the disabled remote in truck. She can come later, open doors with phone app and start truck.

I also, disable remote while I work so, I can auto start from phone.

We live in a small community and I park where someone may need to move it sometimes. Everyone that needs to know, knows how to find the remote.

Also, if I don’t get back to it after work, I can lock it from my phone.

I drive truck and don’t always make it back to Tacoma in the evening, so this works great for my situation.

Not for everyone but, it’s an advantage of living in a small community. :)

No true. Most cars the transmission shifter and steering wheel lock so you cant drive away. Stupid design by Toyota, VERY stupid.

Actually, I learned of this issue by watching a video on the Silverado and deciding to try it on my Tacoma. I agree there are better solutions, but still

this is awesome. Still having trouble with the Entune app and navigation button on the 2021. Ill dig deeper on TW to figure out how to use the Entune app or if it is even still useful

My remote start and lock/unlock from my phone all worked without having to set up the SOS. Mine is a '21 TRD Sport.

Not sure if it's already been shown, but if you have Android Auto set up on your phone to automatically start when connected and the head unit doesn't automatically switch over to AA, try going to the developer settings inside of AA and switch on 'Request Video Focus on Start'
