I made it out of there before all that crap hit, started rain just East of Castroville and soon as I got on 410 South a couple miles, rain stopped and kept the skinng pedal down at 80+ mph, we got BB size hale about 7pm.

Most bad stuff(purple on radar) was further South, we got about 20min worth of a good down pour ourselves, much needed.

    .85in and a moth full.

Toying with the idea of boosting my 2.7 reg cab 4x4... started saving up already... I want a unicorn truck... something completely ridiculous and completely unnecessary.

the question is, supercharger or turbo? I’m first going to do headers, exhaust, snorkel, a lift/leveling kit, wheel spacers, re gear, and fix some issues my truck has. It’s my daily driver and work truck and sees a lot of off-road use so I really need it to be a middle of the ground all purpose truck, but I crave more low end power and don’t want to do an engine swap.

Help me burn my money please!

If it was me id start by changing out the head bolts for ARP studs. I boosted my 2.7 and within 5k miles the head gasket blew. I put another motor in and the head gasket blew again after 5k. After changing the head gasket and adding ARP studs it looks like it is going to hold up now.

If you want bolt up, URD sc is the way to go. If you can fabricate a turbo would be a better option and would probably perform better. I have the Urd kit on my truck and im pretty happy with it but ill be going turbo one day sooner than later.

Also if your truck is a standard, make sure you budget for an upgraded clutch. The stock one wont be up to the task.

Some more good info in here

Halfway done pictures, I was too tired to remember to take pictures again when I finished.
Had to patch a couple of spots with some tar and new shingles. Didn’t take pictures of that either, forgot sunscreen, work shoes are a half size small and scrunch up my toes. It was an interesting morning.

A little something every chance we get.
Didn't get a LOT done, but I did fill up all the slots in the aquaponics today. Tiny little seedlings, and 6 test slots with just the seed (because not enough seedlings were ready - and I wanted to experiment!)

This is the whole set-up. We'll see in a couple weeks!

:pccoffee: Good Morning SA! Put up the new blinds, grill some tenderloins. That's it. Drop off LBR tomorrow for the AC work.

Was a good camp weekend at HF, kept up with most of the Jeep’s until finally getting high centered and even 4LO with the locker on stil wouldn’t budge haha. Thanks to the jeeper that got us unstuck

I honestly want to keep my I4 and just squeeze a little extra power out of it. Plus I’d have something that’s not exactly common.
