Well sir thank you so much for your time and extra posting, just stop today and tried it in the wet grass and leaves on the way home I'd like to put myself through the windshield lol the switch works like a charm the only downfall is I have to turn my truck on and off to make the ABS light turn off which is no big deal at all I will be happy to do that.

Hey, I just ordered a lighted switch for this mode. Does the switch light up when the abs is on or when the abs is off?
Will the instructions for this ABS mod work for a 2017 SR5 with 4x4?

Out of curiosity, what would be the difference of installing a toggle switch in line on the blue with yellow strip wire instead of grounding out the wire?

Thank you for the post! Finally after recalibrating my vsc multiple times after my lift and it still over reacting, this was a great solution for me. Thank you for the detailed post!

Did you ever figure it out? I'm going through the exact same thing right now and I'm wishing that I never attempted the AOB switch. My simple SPST switch worked fine. :rain:

Just about to attempt the same thing myself. Really surprising that this isn't working for you guys.

Is continuity confirmed through the relay on the side going to the green wire? Test the switch and make sure the resistance changes on that end with the wires disconnected.

I have my powered switch wired up so I'll have to test the relay myself today before going any further.

I will test continuity when I've got a minute this week. I never get electrical jobs right the first time and I seldomly figure out what the problem was the second time.

I gave up. The old setup worked flawlessly and I'm done pulling my hair out over this lol. Tested each component individually and everything worked as it should.

    C'est la vie.

With my AoB switch, I had to use a relay.

+/- 12 for the light in the switch, tied in to the dash lights.
+12 to the switch, out to the relay.
I ran the ABS circuit (the green, if I remember correctly) across the relay.

In other words, I used the electrically controlled relay as a switch for the ABS circuit, and the AoB switch to control (or switch) the relay.

Yup, I was using a relay. Continuity and voltage was good across both the relay and switch.

Sort of reviving the thread I just did the abs mod, light green wire on a 2013 4x4 sport and seems to work as it should. Here is what lights up on my dash when the switch is thrown, does it look correct 253BABD5-372F-444A-8902-D3CF8F79619C.jpg
Update: had a snow and ice event here and this worked like charm, nice to shut off ABS

Does holding down the factory switch(for 4 seconds) accomplish the same thing as this mod? I know it turns everything else off, but wasn't sure if ABS was included?

The ABS light does not come one when doing the hold down button for 4 seconds. 100% sure it doesn't disable like the mod.

I did the mod and the ABS light turns on a moment after pushing the button. For my truck the light doesn't disappear until I re-press the switch AND restart my truck.

Any update on a new switch or the best switch to place in factory dash slots on 2012.
