Pulled weeds yesterday evening. Could hardly get out of bed this morning my back hurt so bad.

Getting old sucks.

 

Hasn't rained in my area yet. But could definitely use it.

 

Meant to say, when I bought my truck (it's a '19), I received notification before I signed papers that there was a recall on the fuel pump. The truck was traded in at a Chevy dealer, so they weren't able to do the recall fix, so they just wanted me to know, so I can have a Toyota dealer do it. Anyone else have to do that? Seems pretty painless and nothing else shows as needing done for the truck on the record. So I want to get that done here in the next couple weeks. Debating if I want it done before I take the truck up to the cabin for Labor Day weekend.

 

Took less than an hour for me.

 

Cool, thanks. Just made the appointment for next Fri. Also there was a service bulletin for the brake light in the cab. So I guess they are doing that too. I need to remember to run the fuel low for them lol.

I've been a bum the last two weeks. Went to D.C. for a 3-day trip, finally got to walk across the stage and shift the tassels from right to left, which was cool, I wish D.C. wasn't as shut down, would've liked to see some more things.

Left my job two weeks ago as a career "fire inspector" (read firefighter), yesterday was technically my last day but had some PTO to burn that I would've lost otherwise due to years on the job and being short about a year. But this way I've just had two weeks to chill out, focus on some other things, and get ready for this Monday. And I'll still get paid out my vacation time!

Monday will be the start of a new adventure, and challenge, but hopefully a much better place in numerous capacities. Still going to be doing the fire thing, but as a Chief of a fire brigade for a rather large industrial setting. Hopefully, though, I'll be able to get back to doing truck stuff and adventures in the amocat later this fall!!

Just as I was unhooking the trailer the sky opened so I got a free shower too.
