If it's a regular cab one notch on the spring perch will level it out. If you go up to about 2.5" in height you would need Upper Control Arms. 5100s are the way to go.
Although if your going for just looks then a small spacer lift may not be as bad. I just don't personally recommend then.
If you want lift on the rear then you can go with an add a leaf or blocks under the springs.

Blocks under the springs  Isn’t that going to drop the rear on an under axle spring mount don’t you think?
And I’m not aware of said Bils for a five lug Taco. But not up on everything out there. :anonymous:

DIY front adjustable coil-overs would be best. Many are using them to drop but if you seen how much “Up” adjustment there is you be shocked! More up than down built in just look at some of the photos!
You just purchase the upper coil-over mounts @ $165 per pair. two coil-over shocks, two springs, some 1/8 x 1 1/4 aluminum strip about 4” long times 2. Some nuts & bolts w/ a little work you have DIY coil-overs… really pretty easy and truthful I don’t know why more don’t do this? Plus I found a Fabication guy that’s looking for some small jobs. The photo is some of his Mig work you should see his Tig welds!

Cool thanks, from what I have read casually is that 5100s wont fit a 5 lug? Is this true, or? Id rather get a lift that also increases the ride comfortability so these seem like the route to take rather than spacers.

Correct. 5100's will not fit on a 5 lug. Check out this thread on all lifting advice for your truck: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-lifting-your-5-lug-guide.518620/

This is a 2.5" lift or at least it was before it settled. The tires are 265/75R16 and the wheels are 16x8 with a zero offset.

This is like exactly what I want to do to my 5 lug but it sounds like a pain in the ass for 5 lug

Yep, the 5 lug is a different animal. I don't know if a 2 to 2.5 inch lift is even available for the 5ers.

Have any of you guys dealt with this? Best I can figure is it's coming from the water pump area...time for water pump? As far as I can tell it's not from that plastic bypass pipe.IMG_20211230_132952.jpg

Would the stalactite keep it from any further leaking/dripping? I looked in there best I could without taking anything apart and couldn't see anything other than the source of the residue seems to be coming from directly below the pulley. To really see under the water pump pulley I think I would have to take the belt off.

I noticed it probably 3 weeks ago. I've been keeping the road hot and it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore.

mine was evaporating about half of the overflow tank every few days driving 35 mile frwy drive to work then back daily so basically i filled it twice a week. It is your warning to change pump....heed it. It will not maintain or fix itself. Good time to check all and belt idler and tensioner pulley bearings as well. I ended up doing all of mine. It will strand you and possibly toast motor depending on situation when it gives up if ignored. I couldn't see anything until it dripped on ground and hunted til finding that craziness behind the pulley. I consider myself lucky to have caught it. Spend the extra coin on the oem parts from online oem parts place.

Thanks gentlemen. It was in fact leaking from the weep hole so I went ahead and had it replaced and did coolant flush and all. Have 162k on my truck, hope this new pump will take me to 300k!

    My 2011 base.

I recently added the front and rear bumper, winch and an OME lift. I also added leather, heated seats and a head unit with wireless CarPlay.

Yesterday my 14 year old daughter asked why my truck doesn't have power door locks. She said "I've never seen manual door locks in any other car." She was wondering why I was missing such an obvious standard equipment item on all vehicles from her era. I laughed and told her I paid extra for the manual doors and windows, and got the manual transmission thrown in for free.

What lifts are you all running and how's the ride quality? I'm considering 5100s, 6112s, or a Dobinsons lift for about 2" in front and mild off roading. Looking for comfort above all and was wondering if 5100s ride overly stiff considering Regular cabs are much lighter than Access or Double Cabs.

I have 5100's. Wish I paid the extra for the 6122s. Next time I guess.
