Anyone know where I can purchase a molle panel for the back of the cab? It looks like the person that used to make them stopped a while back, but I can't find an alternative option. I'd DIY it, but I'm not that talented. haha.

Super curious. What type of informaiton can your vehicle access on a thumb drive? I've only ever used the USB port to plug in charging cables...

    Music? off a thumb?

The ipod plays very nicely through the USB. The sound quality is vastly superior to both radio and blue tooth phone. Can't say why. buy I know what I hear.

As an old guy I have a few hundred cd's. I have downloaded a bunch, 75 or more on a thumb drive. Sounds good. Pretty cool to hear old school stuff that is hard to find on a streaming platform. Plus I never have to worry about loosing cell/sat service.

For those of you who are curious what the ECT option can do as far as increasing speed and MPG. It’s a very basic video and I know there are many variables that aren’t taken into consideration but I thought it could be helpful so I hope it helps.

Does anyone know of a guide to retrofit the push-to-start/stop button into a 3rd Gen V6 Manual that doesn't have it? I'm not talking about remote start. It's a manual and that would be dumb. I'm talking about adding in this guy:

I'd expect that I'd need the button, a new dash panel with the extra hole, a pigtail of some sort, and some new keyfobs. I would prefer OEM parts. I was hoping somebody here would be able to at least point me toward a walkthrough or have some guidance other than "what's wrong with using a key" and "I'd never do that".

I think there would need to be some computer shenanigans too. Something needs to turn the input of pushing the button into actually cranking the starter, and the computer also controls when to stop cranking.
My guess is the manual transmission trucks don't have the programming built in?
Edit: also, to take full advantage of the keyless start, you'd need a proximity sensor in the door (and associated computer programming to make that work too)

Possibly, but that seems kind of dumb to me. My 8 year old Mazda had the feature before it got wrapped around a Nissan last week. I guess I might have got get an aftermarket kit. Boooo.

This would be ALOT of work and not worth it IMO. You probably need some pretty extensive ECU reprogramming to get it to work. Plus proximity sensors on the door and in the cab, etc.

Just enjoy your key and MT. If you really want push button start, get an automatic.

Manual and keyless start are not mutually exclusive unless you are Toyota. I don't understand why it was not an option on the MT's. "Remote Start" sure, definitely that makes sense. No Keyless Start makes absolutely no sense.

Also, everybody wants different things out of their trucks. I see tons of people installing the amber "raptor" style grille lights on their trucks. My truck came with them when I bought it, and that was the second thing I removed because I think they look stupid. (first was the DCM fuse because Toyota doesn't need my metadata)

I still find it kind of odd that a forum dedicated to modifying Tacoma's would suggest just living with the truck the way it left the factory.

Perhaps I'm just missing the thread, but has anyone upgraded to LED bulbs and spliced in the load EQs? I was just wondering where the best place to put them was before I start looking to where I cut the wires. I can't imagine I'm the first to ever do this...

Anyone know if there is an anytime mod for the stock front, rear and side cameras on the higher model gen 3s?

Haven't dug into it, but does this write-up have the necessary information to do your mod? Maybe follow it and add the side cameras. ???

Thanks for the links. I've only done some surface level digging so far so I was just looking so see if someone had done it first. Maybe one of these days when I have time I'll dig around in my dash and see what I can work up.
