I got some for our keys, they work well. That said, there was a story in the news today, St. Louis City pistol was stolen out of a car (yeah, not a great idea) and the bumb ran to the county, neither PD is doing anything about it, but my guess is, with media attention that will (or already has) changed.

This is on the L.A. CA. Craigslist. There was a another pic tailgate.jpg at one time where it showed a warehouse with the walls covered with all different years, I believe it was in Compton. $450.00 w/camera, $400.00 w/o.

I would, but there’s no prosecution, it’s a free for all these days, better be ready to cover your own ass, cause the streets are dirty.

Knock on wood but so far keeping my tailgate locked and hose clamps are my deterrent. A thief is looking for an easy steal and the hose clamps at least will slow them down if he has to get a screwdriver.
I can't believe people do this crap. They still your converter to make a few bucks and it cost you thousands. The poke a hole in your gas tank and still a couple gallons while letting the rest run out and then you have to fix the gas tank. A couple years ago my wife left an old empty purse in the car and sure enough someone broke the window and stole it. She doesn't do that anymore.

I departed L.A. for the USAF in 1986...coming home after each of my 8 assignments in 25 years of service. (Retired in 2011)

When I would come home to visit family, I knew we would be leaving for our next location. (I married a Scottish lass in 1990 on my first overseas tour)

I do love visiting but glad when it's "time for me to fly". lol

There's just WAY too many people in SoCal. (Way too many chances of mischief to happen)

Delaware...on the other hand, is urban & rural. I think it's too boring for people to live here but I love it!

I guess I must be boring at 56 years of age.

My grandson can quickly remove the hose clamp sorry....

Get a piece of exhaust tubing or pipe that has a nice fitting id - fits a steel sleeve over the hinge. Once installed - fill the screw holes with JB weld. Most expensive part of this is the JB weld - spray paint to be sure the ring doesn't rust immediately - and the piece of exhaust tubing was $2 at O'reillys.

Hmmm, that won’t be easy, more than likely they would drill out the lock. Thieves can get into anything if they want something bad enough even the methods others listed here. The point is you don’t want it to be easy for them and just locking the tailgate works for that.

    I couldn't remove that T40 bolt...even with the help of my Son-in-law.

First tried the metal brace but like I said, that T40 bolt would not budge. I ended up sending it to a member for free.
