**disclaimer**This is my wife's truck. It will have girlie touches to it, so if you think the truck is gay looking due to it please keep your comments to yourself. Other than that enjoy and don't show your wife this cuz it may cost ya! :D

We traded my wife's Scion Tc in for her Tacoma in January of 2010. Our plans were to put a cheap lift and 285's and call it done. After taking it on a couple wheeling/camping trips we decided that we liked it a bit better for that purpose more than my Jeep. With a 14 year old and capming gear the Tacoma just makes more sense. I sold my Jeep since we really don't need 2 trail ready vehicles. Now the Tacoma must be built to be a go anywhere do anything truck. So after tons of research, saving and planning here goes the build.
Here it is a weekend or two after we bought it.

After that little trip we found out the mudflaps had to go. Started researching and found this site and all of the free mods. So we took the mud the mud flaps off, de-badged it, relocated the 7 pin, and tinted the windows. Soon after we planed a trip over Medano pass. It crosses a river 9 times so I knew this was in order http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/15686-diff-breather-mod-dummies-pics.html

We have most everything we need to start the build except for a few things. Bumpers and sliders should be done in a couple months but my wife doesn't want to wait to get them to start the build. Also we got on the Icon group buy and are still waiting for those to ship, so we may get to a stand still. Here is what we have to put on the truck.

Yesterday all I did was spray the grill surround and eyelids in clear, nothing worth taking pics of!. Today we put in the Grillcraft and reinstalled the grill. We put the eyelids on too. Turned out ok, the color is a bit to dark though. We got this paint from auotmotivetouchup.com. I was hoping it would have matched better. If it bugs me to much I'll just get a pint mixed up at the paint store and re-spray it. They said there was 11 different mixes for mixing the paint so it must be pretty hard to match.

    White was her second choice!

I drive a 07 STi limited. Sold my 06 rubicon last November and picked it up. Still stock except for a couple cosmetic mods I'm working on. I miss the Jeep when I look at some pics of it, but it all goes away when I get behind the wheel of the STi!
    A couple pics of them.

Today I started to build a platform to mount the compressor and auxiliary fuse box. I decided to use the space over the passenger wheel well. I used a 12"x18" piece of 16 gauge (cut to 12"x11") and a 12"x1 1/4" 14 gauge slotted angle and some washers for spacers. I will finish it up when I get the auxiliary fuse box in. Yea I know i need to wash the engine bay! :D
