I doubt it makes that much of a difference since it's going through the intercooler still. I rarely get above ambient with my air/water setup.

On another similar note I tossed the procharger filter for an AFE dry. I had been cleaning the procharger filter regularly but it was started to look a bit haggard. First pull I hit 10.6psi , I was in the down in the 9s on the old one before the swap.

Stock 3.6" 8psi pulley. It's higher because my intercooler has significantly less pressure drop than the front mount.

Which intercooler did you go with for your setup?

I shaved down the face of the roto molded inlet 7mm at the suggestion of ProCharger which gives me about 4mm clearance from the radiator. It's all crammed in there, I'll check out some alternative inlets

First startup will be tomorrow night and then I'll dyno it once it's had a chance to get some miles on it and the triple digit temps calm down.

This will be a 4runner (4.0L) with 4.88's, snorkel and y-pipe/catback on the PC tune for now. I can probably get some data logging going if anyone is interested

Progress stopped on my 4r. The ECU suddenly stopped responding to odb/techstream. I found a broken positive battery terminal, but otherwise have no idea what's going on.

The ProCharger is 100% installed, and I was able to flash it with the PC tune. It started up with a rough idle and was showing short term fuel trim on both banks at -20% throwing P0172/P0175 codes. I shut it off that night, and the next day it would turn over but not start, and was no longer able to pull codes.

Fuel pressure is 35psi when turn it over and does not drain fast. No response from the ECU. The battery (odyssey 34r) did seem to lose charge quickly over night.

I'm wondering if maybe the imobilizer was some how triggered. I'm tempted to try the 7/13 pin ECU reset and if not, pull the ECU and inspect the port. I may also pull one of the new plugs just to check it out.

I just bought a spare ECU just incase it comes down to replacing it.

Did the battery loose connection while you were flashing a tune?

Not that I am aware of. I had the engine idle for a solid 30 minutes at one point after the flash and it was reading the ecu that night with no issues.

tech stream reports 0/2 engine ecu's but can see everything else

Sounds like it didn't get flashed, or it was the wrong tune. Was that done with the RTD device?

I would double check for wiring issues and try to reflash again before putting the new ECM in there.

The rtd flash completed, I didn't have any power interruptions and I believe it ate a credit. I went through all of the fuses many times with a multimeter, although a power probe just arrived and I'll probably go back through the fuses and relays again.

This was running after the flash although just with a rough idle, I cleaned the maf and it wouldn't start up after that (no spark from what I can tell, no ecu communication)

crc maf cleaner. Just swapped in a new maf, no luck. It ran for about a day after the tune with the p0172/p0175 codes, stft at -20 both banks.

The cpu stopped being read mid scan (vcm) and never started after. I’m going to check voltages at the ecu port and will swap out the ecu this week.

Hopefully I can come back with some reports, I’ll be curious how it compares to a Tacoma. I have wide band/fuel pressure/boost logging available with the innovate gauges and a dedicated laptop to log whatever else

I saw a thread on the 3G forum that people have been having some issues with the belt alignment.

I havent had issues yet. To me it’s very underrated for the 3rd gen. Only known issue I’ve found across the kits when people install them is that it’s missing the bolt that goes from the main bracket to the sub bracket. Seems that PCharger hasn’t fixed that issue yet.

Airflow straightener FINALLY installed. I had it sitting in my drawer for over a year and finally just got around to putting it in. Maybe exhaust cam gear next? Thoughts?

Also are these from URD the same as the retarded 3° ones from @mightytacoman ?

Not the same. @mightytacoman machined OE gears to achieve the clocked keyway. They function the same however. Good upgrade!

Also since the JFR Equal Length Y-Pipe is probably never coming back I think I'm going to use something like this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2305581 to try and remake his design. I just don't know what diameter to use, 3.0 or 2.5

My suggestion is that 2.25" secondary's merge into 3" and a 3" cat-back, although 2.5" would work and not hold you back, really.
