    Question for those who know...
I have an 2nd gen ('11) access cab with alloy rims. Looking to put steelies from a 3rd gen ('19) on with some 235/85r16 Michelin Agilis Crossclimate tires.

Offset for the 2nd gen rims are 30 and offset for the 3rd gen steelies are 25.

If I put this set up on my '11, will I have any issues with the wider offset and the extra height of the 235/85 vs the 265/70 tire?

Also, anyone run the Agilis Crossclimate? I love my Defender ltx m/s tires, but I understand the Agilis is better in off-road and in snow. Every time I leave my neighborhood, I have to drive 12 miles of hilly dirt and gravel roads so the Agilis seems like a no brainer.

My guess is that you'll be fine.

On stock suspension I ran 265/75/16 on my 2nd gen with steelies. Not the same height as the 235/85, but within a fraction of an inch and over an inch wider.

I think you'll be fine, but haven't tried it personally.

Something worth considering is getting lug nuts designed for the steel wheels. The ones with the flat washers are good for alloy wheels; but the washers don’t do anything on the steelies, just the conical portion at the bottom of the nuts.
An acorn nut with a 60 degree slope is what comes stock with the trims with steel wheels.

Even the OEM steelies use the aftermarket style acorn lug nuts?

Or the OEM Toyota nuts that come with trims that have steel wheels. Pretty standard nuts…

Don’t confuse them with the “tuner” spline drive types you need for wheels with small diameter spaces for the nuts. Example: the TRD faux beadlocks. You can use those with steel wheels too, but you don’t need to.

@Merling I have a DM coming your way. Many sizes are already available for order. Just not the 255/85R16 yet.

Had a shakedown run on my 255/80r17 Wildpeak AT3Ws. This is definitely the size. Noticed a huge improvement in clearance and surprisingly no rubbing, even off-road. Was on 245/75r16s previously. MPG is definitely going to take a hit but with the 2.7, 5-speed manual, and stock 4.1 gearing, I'm pretty happy with how the rpms sit. I'm no longer screaming at 2800rpm on the highway. Setup is Fox 2.0s front, dobinsons rear with an add-a-leaf, stock UCAs, and 4Runner TRD OR wheels.
