    Long-time lurker; first time poster.

I know, I know, I know: there's already a thread about this. I read this, this, this, and this before posting and still don't completely understand my options or even what I would have to order to make this upgrade complete.

    My Setup
I've got a bone-stock 2016 tacoma with ~70k miles on it. I did add the frontrunner roof rack which adds ~108 lbs of load. I also plan on adding a bed storage system (something like a decked system) which would add another 200 lbs. So a total of ~300 lbs load consistently. I'd like to maintain the stock wheel and tire size if possible.

    My Usage
I use the frontrunner to haul paddle boards, bikes, and the occasional lumber run. I find that weight pretty manageable. I've never really noticed any suspension sag. I recently drove to Moab towing 3 bikes and as you might notice in the picture below the rear suspension was quite low, and in some cases I'm sure I bottomed-out on highway whoops. I want to continue to trailer bikes, and also want to start using a hitch carrier for my dirt bike. So that would be about 250 lbs hanging behind the truck.

Suspension Options (as I understand them)
I'm thinking of ICON (but open to other brands). I'm okay with a 1-2" lift. The way I understand ICON is I have two options:
    Stage 2 - Shocks Front w/ Reservoir & Rear + Leaf Springs
Stage 3 - Shocks Front w/ Reservoir & Rear + Leaf Springs + UCA (Tubular or Billet).

Do I need the UCAs? Or can I get away with just the Stage 2 with the RXT option 2 for the leafs? What do I need to order?

Icon stage 2, Bilstein 5100 rears, and replace the bumpstops with airbags for when you are loaded down more.

Or dobinson' and deaver does make leafs that have better silencer pads on each leaf.

Roadmaster active suspension works great for your situation and is only about $500

Any advantage/disadvantage to first just replacing the stock bump stops with sumos or timbrens using my stock suspension and then building from there?

    I have RXT op3.

air bags sound better than RAS. But that would remove the benefit of a bump stop and probably need air compressor I don’t have.

archive or Deaver would’ve cost more. Maybe better.

RAS is amazing and doesn’t limit travel and are quiet unlike air bags when used with Daystar cradles.
    Deaver FTW!

Also RAS has essentially zero maintenance and no rupture bags (not that it happens often). Love mine and highly recommend

do they not have a downside like riding harsher or reducing travel by adding a spring onto a spring?

I think they ride smoother combined with the stock TRD off road rather than just stock.

Once you get the pressure right when loaded the ride is slightly firmer. You are supposed to have a minimum pressure in the bags when unloaded and that makes the ride a lot firmer.
If you do not run Daystar cradles, the bags limit a lot of down travel.

I couldn't find Bilstein's in stock anywhere. I went full tilt on my budget and decided to go with King Coilovers in the front and shocks in the back. Icon RXT leaf pack option 2 in the back. Drives on rails so far with and without a load.
