You don't need to support the entire hole. You can support just the portion the cable comes through and bridge the rest. Much easier cleanup and that part is covered by the adapter anyways.

I came across this thread a while ago and have read through it all. I actually just want to delete the charger entirely as I don’t feel the need to have one there and would rather have the empty cubby space. With a bubbled qi charger, it isn’t really even good for storage now.

I hate to revive this issue but is anyone willing to alter that design to remove the circle in the middle, the word, and the cord notch? I’ve been searching for literally just a plate to fill the space after I remove the charger but it’s been a surprising challenge to find one. I could have it printed it myself, just need the STL.

Or if someone has a link to a plate that would serve this purpose.

You can replace the entire thing with the OEM cubby that goes in non qi models. Simply turning of the qi still leaves current going to it. By replacing the entire thing you remove the damaged charger and have access to the qi switch so you could push it into the dash to replace with a blank or switch for something of your choosing. Several threads on this with part numbers. I’ll edit one in if I track it down, but the posts are easy to find with Google.
You don’t actually gain much space by removing it but since you’re asking for a plate that would sit on top I figure you’re more concerned with not having to look at the bubble.
    Edit:
If it was me I’d do this since it’s the cheapest and simplest option. It would also yield the most space in the cubby, second only to unscrewing the charger from your tray and placing an aftermarket rubber mat in its spot.
If you really want it out of there this post has part numbers

Oh perfect! Thanks for the info. I haven’t been able to find one for whatever reason, probably using the wrong buzzwords I guess lol if you happen to find one, that would be great! I’ll keep looking.

I had a member 3d print a piece to replace the charger. I then put a scan-gauge 3 and volt meter in it. I also purchased a replacement part without the charger on eBay in case my plan didn’t work. Pics below.
