Nice seats. Lousy airbags in the bench keep me from doing that.

 

It's mounted to the back of the frame I think. A thin piece of fabric and Velcro covers it up.

 

I just looked and it's in the side of the seat. At least that's where the yellow wire leads to. I can swap out the seats, but then the airbag light would be on, I assume. Probably get in trouble with the insurance company if there was ever an accident. The bucket seats with the airbags are $2500 each from Toyota. I'm guessing Kelson paid less than that.

 

so are porsche shops and dad's that know how to weld =)

I just ordered 2 of these switches.. did you have to do any trimming to get them to fit?

thanks!! yeah there's kinda a lot of trimming involved....not too bad if you have a dremel...it's about maybe 1/8" on each side at most. but i don't have a dremel and i had to file it down by hand lol.

 

Damn... I guess that is what I will have to do.. did you file it so it is flush from the front of the whole to the back.. It is 1:30 am and I cant think of a good way of describing what I mean. haha

 

it's not too bad...just kinda a PITA tho...there's pretty much a little lip on the inside of the switch hole...that's what doesn't clear...if you get what im saying...lol...

when you get the swtich, take out the blanks and try and fit these in you'll see what im talking about.

 

NICE BUCKET SEATS! i'll be watching to see how you wire it all up and get the sensors working

 

thanks...been slackin on that lmao...i'll prob get to it this weekend. still have to re-asemble the interior so the airbag stuff needs to be done before that

Kelson, With the porsche seats, how do they compare with the sitting height of the bench seat?One of my friend had a good deal on black leather S2k seats, but I never got them because they sit way too low.

they sit a little bit lower than the stock bucket seats. the seat's rails actually bolted straight to the floor in the 944, so they are actually raised from what height they should be.

do you have the lighted switches? then the off color plug should be ground, and the other two are your positive or whatever your switching.

 

Nevermind.. I figured out that I have bigger problems. Sometimes my lights turn on and sometimes they don't. I wonder if it is becauase I have my hellas tapping into my fogs that tap into my DRLs. AND... my fogs are aftermarket (of course) and the switch that came with the kit had a green light for on and a red light for off.. So my new switch is lit up all the time.. fml
