Anyone up for something Saturday night? The Mrs. is going out with the girls.

 

We should hit up the spot I was talking to Jason about that is behind Pleasant. Castle Hot Springs road to the Humbug Creek area. Not a very long trail unless we can get across the lakebed if the water is low enough. There is a gate up, but there's space to drive around it and down some river rock to the lakebed. It's a little silty/sandy but super easy to plow through with 4x and probably 2x with the right momentum. Once through about 100ft of sand/silt, it's back to hard desert. The trail goes for miles and is 2x friendly for the most part.

 

I'm good with that.

 

If the lake level is too high to cross that spot, there's also a point we could drive out to and set up a barbecue or whatever.

 

Just give me the details and what I should bring.

 

You should bring a Camry union, breather and 4' of fuel line if you're crossing water

 

Yeah I need to do that mod. Maybe I can pick that stuff up this week.

We won't be crossing water. I only cross that spot if it's bone dry otherwise it's way too silty and mushy and you'd need Gravedigger to plow through it.

Diff breather mod is definitely a necessity though. I still have to do mine, too.

I wish I could. I hate family holidays, and my family are masters at guilt (Catholics) so if I ditch them on a major holiday I hear about it for years.

No seriously, I need to get it done. I'm just too lazy to get the parts. Maybe we draw straws and one of the 3 of us has to go pick up the parts and the other two pay for all parts. Either way, you win.
