is my truck a trd?

I just bought my truck, it is a 2007 double cab shortbed Prerunner sr5. There are no trd stickers on it. It does have the push button rear diff lock and front skid plate, and trd floor mats. It has black door handles, mirrors, and the standard hood without scoop. I have determined it is not a trd sport. Did they have a trd offroad for the prerunners on the 2nd gen? where can I find a list of the trd options? any input would be great

 

sounds like a trd offroad prerunner. you have a chrome bumper and chrome grill yes?

it's a 2wd truck that has a locking rear diff and 16inch wheels.

I have a trd off road sr5. If you have the locker and bed outlet you have it.

 

yeah it does have the outlet too..yeah it has a chrome grill, the front bumper is body color but the rear bumper is chrome. Looks like I can put the trd stickers on (or back on) and not be fakin the funk. Does anyone have a list of what the trd package consists of?

 

A surprise TRD off road! Does it have the bed outlet? The locker is a plus with the 2wd. Are you gonna put the stickers back on?

 

yes a great suprise! My truck does have all those options! Thanks for googling that for me! Yes i plan to put the stickers back on it. I have been keeping my eyes peeled but havent seen any prerunner trd offroad trucks, just trd sports. Good news indeed!

Might want to look up member Sockmonkey. He makes custom stickers that you might want more than the stockers. I would suspect they're cheaper to.

 

wait, you mean i might get clowned for building a fake TRD from a SR5?! haha.. glad you found out you had a TRD tho. that's pretty sweet.

 

Just have the dealer run your VIN and you'll know. Simple. No doubts.

sockmonkey makes great bedside decals and you can get almost any TRD design you want.

Ebay sells factory style one but I say get some custom ones from Sock!

funny story, same thing happened to me!

it wasnt until i got home w the truck that i found out (through this site!) that i had a TRD Off Road because mine was debadged and also had the trd sticker removed.

and now that ive read what the SR5 TRD OffRoad comes with, im actually wondering if mine might be an SR5 package too!

not to thread-jack, but how could one tell if you have the SR5 option if the tailgate was debadged? what is SR5?

 

unless it's a rugged trail (I think) the SR5 will have the color keyed fender flares, color keyed bumper, fog lights and probably a few other things

 

but if you have a trd off road, i think it would have to have sr5 package as well, i'm not sure on that, cause i see a lot of trd sports and offroads either have sr5 sticker or not, and i'm not sure whether they took it off, or toyota neglected to put it on

 

Both of the TRD packages are on top of the SR5 package.

 

So basically if u have a TRD then u have an SR5?

 

Yes... But the 2011s and 2012s TRDs don't have the SR5 badge anymore because they are already considered SR5s with the TRD package.
