I have my stock suspension I was going to put in there, but I'm just going to hold on to it for now.

Technically U-bolts are supposed to be a one time use item. They stretch out when a high torque is applied and are not ment to be reused. Most of the stretch is in the threaded portion itself and cannot be seen with the naked eye. If you have a thread gauge handy you can acually see the distortion.

Ewww, I've never heard that, good to know. I got some other random shit just collecting dust now: 7.5" U-Bolts (about 10k on them, and some off-road abuse, possible warped threads <see above>), Side-Mirror glass for both sides (glass-only), some random susp. bushings, OME carrier-bearing spacers, (1) switch blank, stock airbox, stock front bilsteins/springs.

Let me know if you guys want any of it, and I'll bring it on the 31st, along with some other shit.

Some guy just offered me a mid-90's Wrangler with over 100K miles on it for my STi with $3K cash on top. I wish I had a giant middle finger symbol in my phone.

Jeep doesn't even look modified or that well taken care of. Suck a fat one buddy.

I only have one set of spacers. I guess you got dibs, or you 2 can duke it out at the beach. :D
That's why I'm taking out the OME drop. I had the Beefed CB drop in there, but it was TOO much of a drop with just the Dakars, then I threw in the 1" blocks, and had to put the Beefed drop back in. Now the driveline is almost 100%. Excellent product though, well designed and built. Brian is a cool guy, he runs a solo show, so his stuff takes a little longer to get to your door, but worth it.

so did you go about measuring all the angles and that stuff or did you just experiment and get lucky? I've never been quite right, but I'm living with it fine.

So, I had to order a set of wheel spacers in order to mount my tires on my stock wheels (I'm too poor to get a set of $500 wheels right now).

I have been researching a couple different companies, and ended up going with some 1" hub-centric "BORA" spacers from Motorsport-Tech. I didn't want to pay too much and I wanted different sizing options (I don't want to have my tires stick WAY out on the sides).

I've been talking to Mark w/ Motorsport-Tech, and he gave me a discount on (4) of them, and hopes to have them made/shipped by the end of the week (in hopes that I get them before Sand Lake). In return, I told him I would document the install, take pictures, write a review/write-up for TW, and then help spread the word about their company. So far, I've been pretty happy with their honesty/integrity, we'll see about their quality and workmanship on the spacers.

Either way, if all goes well, I hope to convince Mark to join TW and become a vendor and hopefully get a group-buy or discount going for members. I like to have options, and it seems like AP/Spidertrax have been the only "real" hub-centric solutions that everyone runs to. I don't like the fact they only offer bigger sizes (1.25"+) plus, they are more expensive than these guys. Also, Motorsport-Tech really prides themselves on being an "ALL-AMERICAN" product, if that matters to you.

I think I've gone on long enough about f*cking wheel spacers, but let me know if you guys are interested in these, and I'll make sure to keep a list going, and hopefully get you a discount on them.

Sounds good. If you still wanna meet up on Thursday real quick let me know.

I didn't measure with a degree finder (but that would be a good idea, maybe a trip to Harbor Freight is in order). I just eyeballed it, and used a string from the front to the back to check. Fairly accurate.

There is some good info. HERE & HERE about it though. I take these fix it's with a grain of salt,m since there's so many variables to take into account.

I think I paid $75 for mine about a year ago...maybe he raised his prices?

Yeah, I heard the tool from HF is pretty inexpensive and makes it pretty easy. I might have to do this with you sometime instead of completely guessing it out - sometime when it isn't hailing every day :p
