    Bilstein 5100, Hella 500's,
I just installed my new Bilstein 5100 shocks at the second to tallest setting, got the truck aligned and the truck rides like a damn pogo stick! I know there are more likely than not a million threads about this but I want a for sure answer for my problem and questions, and I am too frustrated at the moment. Thank you for bearing with me and my lack of patience and time due to way too many summer school units...

I am assuming I need to get new springs and I am wanting to do this within the week only a few problems...
Toytec is on backorder for the Eibach springs

Will the OME 884 springs give me the same lift I am at now while moving the clip in the 5100 to the "stock" height? (approx. 1 inch higher than rear)

Pro's and Con's of the OME vs Eibach?

Are there any other spring manufacturers that make a similar product to the OME 884 or Eibach/Toytec front lift springs?

Again thank you for bearing with me I am doing a lot of back and forth driving on the 91 and 10 freeways and it just about shook me to death.

Thank you guys! Now that I have had some time to cool off does anyone know any other places to buy the Eibach springs, or OME springs preferably a company that works with TW?

You do lose some travel by setting it on the second to highest setting. I went with 885's and set at 0. A "little" hard in the beginning, but after 2000miles and nicely broken in and everything settled out, rides really well. Level it out in the rear too, I had an issue with the rear and only had the fronts on with a bro lean for a few days. Disgusting ride to say the least and lost 3mpg due to horrible drag with that bro lean. After leveling out the rear, everything rides great, no mpg issues. Wait after 2k and you're golden

Just to answer your q, I didn't measure the ride height afterwards, but since i didn't have TSB in the rear, I added a wheeler's 3leaf AAL along with one more AAL... replaced the factory overload. 6leafs total, from what my eye can see, levels out Perfectly. Rides great. No UCA issues, you will see that the ride height will lower a bit after 1k miles. I'll estimate that I got 2.75" give or take out of it.

You guys are life savers! The next Question would be 884 or 885 seeing that I drive road 99% of the time now unless I am taking my dirtbike down the dirt road and my truck is stock other than the 2 hella 500s which add basically no weight would I want the light or medium springs?

Ya the 91 still isn't much better I noticed that on my way to school when I hit Van Buren at faster speeds the ride was a bit better but still crap compared to what it should be.

884's and 885's are made from the same coil (same spring rate) so it depends on how much lift you want.

the lift in the front would truly depend on if you're going to mess with the rear leaf. If you're just keeping the stock leafs, just go with 884. but, since i had no choice but to replace my leafs due to a crack in my second leaf (luckily it didn't crack through), the extra height from the new rear setup required me to go 885's.

Nice, I'll try to get my pics one soon too since I just got mine done a month ago. Heard weather in LA this year hasn't been all that nice... trying to make a weekend trip out of it next week. Good luck on your setup. You'll enjoy the ride for sure.

New shocks should get rid of pogo effect. Would like to see pics of the spring seat. How much lift do you think you got out of it?

He just put new 5100's on the truck

Assuming the coil seats are installed correctly, I'm guessing you meant new coils?

Well i currently sit 1 inch higher in the front that in the rear. Im guessing around 2 inches not sure. Made the mistake of not measuring before installing the "lift"

We need pictures of the shocks bottom spring perch to verify the way it was installed.

The spring seat/perch can be flipped over and installed incorrectly. When this happens it adds way to much pre load, thus harsh ride.

Also what model truck is yours, trd off road, sport, SR5?

Looks like that was the issue, the spring perch was installed up side down.

Is your truck a TRD offroad? I am thinking about doing the same setup and am trying to figure out if it improves ride quality or makes it too stiff on the offroad edition. Offroad coils are stiffer than the TRD sport edition and it seems hard to find many results of the 5100s on the TRD offroad. Wonder if on top of coil spacers would be better for a slight lift in the front since they dont pre-load the spring like the 5100s do? Anyone have some good input on that?

I would do 5100s and 885s for a plate bumper in the future but im just doing the cheapest way possible right now that will work the best. I'm not going up over 2in on the front
