Can any of y'all help me order an HID kit for these? I want 6000k, and I would figure 35 watt should be fine, but I don't know. I'm on ddm's website, and it's asking bulb type (h1, h3, etc) hid harness, error eliminator, adapter cables, and mounting brackets... I don't understand any of this. Any help would be much appreciated...

Also, what would you suggest for the fogs?

Not sure about the rest of all that. But as for the bulb type, they use 9003 bulbs which is the same as an H4.

dont do any of that hid bulb in a stock housing crap. it will blind other drivers and is illegal in most states.
do it right and retrofit some projectors in the housings. its not very difficult (i did it so anyone can)
heres another group buy so the cost is not that high to do it right.

Get bixenon 35w 6000k. When you pick out the bulb pick out h4 , but pick out the one with the hi/low option or else you will just have low beams. You don't need the eliminator, harness, or cables. The kit will come with 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts, and the wiring harness.

I've been buying from DDM from years - and it takes a while for their goods to get from
China to your doorstep. So do yourself a favor and buy a couple replacement ballasts for I think $15.. That way incase one burns out (happens more often then you'd think). You have a replacememnt on hand.

Also if you want to do HID fogs the bulb type is H10.

Thanks for the help. I've been reading on here about the nightmares with DDM's customer service. Anyone else you suggest ordering from?

No. All the plug and plays will have their problems, there is no point in spending more- just buy replacement ballasts and you'll be fine.

Don't get slim ballasts - they burn out sooner, and don't get 55w, it's complete overkill for on-road driving.

Thanks for the suggestion... The more I read the more it sounds like HID's in stock housing is frowned upon... So I guess she's gonna be getting a retrofit...

707, looks like she's gonna be getting a retrofit... Can you tell me what kind of paint you used on the housing so I can black out the bowls and touch up the insides because apparently I'm gonna have to take it apart again...

This is the whole reason I bought this set... But I think it will still be pretty unique with the silver nightshade...

Well the headlights came in today and it looks like the blinker thing popped out... Looks like I'm gonna have to do an insurance claim. Guess I'm gonna have to take them apart anyways...

By the way... Does anyone know what this piece is? It was sliding around in the lense...

I appreciate that... I'm gonna get every damn dime out of them too. I shipped an iPhone to my buddy last week, and the package arrived but no phone. They're telling me to find out what the headlights are worth, so I got the dealer to send me a quote... $242 a piece! Wowser!

Plus it could be fun to take them apart again, although that wasn't my intentions... Oh we'll, I'll keep y'all in the loop...
