So again I've recently picked up a 2005 tacoma trd sport with stock suspension.
I'm not planning on offroading this one much but want to do a bit of a lift while maintaining the stock smooth ride.

I've haven't heard many good/bad things about doing block lifts (not body lifts) so I thought I would turn to trusty ole TW.

What are some pros/cons of doing a block lift on front and rear?? looking at doing 2"-3" all around with blocks in the back and spacers in the front.

    Thoughts? opinions?

N-fabs, BakFlip VP, power tailgate lock, bed lights, "raptor" grill lights. Standard mall crawler stuff.
Did it yesterday but close enough...

Replace a burnt out light in my "Raptor" style light in the grill, and added one on each side to make it a total of 5 across the grill.

if you are going to have to replace anyway, and want to save money
    for the rear:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/194386-tacoma-spring-refurbishing.html
for the front, Billies and eibachs are not too expensive and will give you a much better ride.

Drove a bit and smelled burning oil after getting out of the truck...after some inspection, found the DS front diff seal is BUSTED after 3 years...leaking diff fluid all over my driveway, flinging it back onto the exhaust (which caused the smell). Drove to the only dealer in 50 miles that had it, bought their last one along with a new OEM oil filter. Then went to vatozone and rented a seal driver tool. While I was there, I picked up 8 qts of diff fluid to change out the front diff, transfer case, and rear diff oil.

Went home, decided it was too dark and cold to start the seal replacement, and decided to just do the oil change on the engine. Drained the oil pan, replaced the filter....then...I realized I didn't buy any engine oil

Had to ask my dad to drive to the store and bring it over for me...so stupid. LOL

Tomorrow will be an interesting day. Never removed my CV axle before, so I'm guessing everything is going to be super difficult to remove :(

Thanks dude, but I've actually already done a CV axle replacement on a fellow member and friend's truck, so I definitely know how to do it, and that I CAN do it, thanks to that very link...I just know how much of a pain in the ass it's going to be :frusty:
