I see you have a prerunner, have you considered a spindle lift? If you end up spending $600 less on tires maybe you can put more money towards suspension. Also what do you plan on using the truck for, people might have some better input on suspension/tires if they have an idea what the truck will be used for, like what kind of offroading if any.

i have looked a spindle lifts but im not really sure what it is to be quite honest.. what would be advantages for me to go this rout?

and i wont be doing alot of offroading but i do ride dirtbikes so i will be driving offroad and may want to have a little fun here and there but not on the regular. Mostly street use... im going mostly for looks here, with minor functoinality

Well i did a suspension lift with longer coils on my 4x4, i needed aftermarket upper control arms to correct the alignment, and i have limited down travel (droop) now with the front wheels, you wont have those results with a spindle lift, ill let the pre-runner guys go into more detail. BUT if you are mainly going for looks i would say get some adjustable bilstein 5100s up front and add a leaf for the rear. And to answer your original question, spacers are worse. They can cause the shock to bottom out before hitting the bumpstops and bad things will happen, like this:

Personally, I am a big fan of America's/Discount.
They've got good prices and a good variety of products, they stand behind their products and work, and for like $10 per tire, you get lifetime rotation and balancing.

afe pro dry, weather tech floor liners,5100's on all four corners@ 0, eibach 620 coils. toytec 3/4" spacer driver/s & passenger/s, rear spring tsb w/toytec 1" blocks, 4runner sport wheels, in channel vent visors, 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers on the front, Wet Okole's, smity tow hook.
Going the cheap route on your ride may cost you money in the long run. Personally I wouldn't want to cheap out on a 26k+- truck, but hey its your ride. 5100's is the best bang for your buck IMO, and I'm sure your have no problem finding some TW members to help you out with the install.

Edit: 5100's will give you 2.5" of lift. There are members who have run 33's but your be doing some trimming. The plus side to 5100's is you can add OME or eibachs later for extra lift.
