The RCD 5100's worked well for me but I've only got a stock leaf pack with a wheelers 1.5 AAL...

my concern with the inboard is the effect on towing stability and overall handling.. those 5100 have stem tops? recall the lengths on them?

I think Homer might be referring to the 5110's. Same ones I got. Don't recall the length at the moment but they are stem to eye. They are on the Wheeler site.

Nope. 5100's from the RCD DB lift. Meant for running with a 4" block...
    Extended 27" & change, compressed 16" & change...
Different part # then the standard ones..

    From Wheelers:

    B110 5100 Rear Shock Set: 153.00/pair [IMG]
Customer's are asking for these B110 shocks so we're listing them. These are the Bilstein 5100 rear shocks from the RCD 4"-5" Tacoma Lift System. They measure 16.34" X 27.28". RCD pairs these with a 4" rear block. *NOTE FOR TRUCKS NOT RUNNING 4" REAR LIFTS WITH THESE SHOCKS: Compression bump stop on rear chassis may need to be modified to prevent damage to the shock absorber. No warranty provided on shock failures caused by bottoming of the shock. May also require longer rear brake lines or modification to the brake line brackets.

No kidding. I am sure he paid quite a pretty penny but damn what a rear setup.

Excuse my ignorance but what is inboarding? I've never seen that term used before.

Yeah that's them the B110's. Bought them there as well. I think if you go to Blistein's site they part # them as 5110's. Nice shocks you got mister. :D

I wouldn't inboard, but the the other options require shock hoops, frame modification, and/or a bed cage. Inboarding is probably the least expensive way to go.

good thing about inboard is that all factory mounts remain, so i can put shocks back in the factory spots for towing instances to keep factory stability..

then have the inboard option for wheeling

i'm going to have to see how much room i have left when these shocks compress and see if i can squeeze out another inch and move to the 5110s and get a bit more of the extended length

Haven't been round much is he having it the same time as he does every year? If so I will be in Canada fishing.
    Kind of true?
I would but I still need the compound low for this Washington, DC traffic.
