This is why I haven't relocated mine yet. Wouldn't the shorter one limit your droop on that side?

    Finally painted my rims!

Not completely done yet, but a huge difference from before. I've already painted the center caps, but will wait to install once the clear coat is cured. Planning on possibly doing that tomorrow if weather permits. I was lucky to get a reasonably non-humid day today to do this.

I really like the look with the silver of the truck. I'm sure I'll also like that the wheels are almost the same color as brake dust...and won't be so "porous" any more like the original finish was...so they'll be much easier to clean and keep that way ;)

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
discovered a tiny hole in my passenger side steering rack boot that is leaking a little bit.. this means that a seal in the rack itself is shot correct?? there's no play in the rack though, should I be concerned?

From tacoskeet's BUILD? He's got an excellent paint process writeup that I plan to use in the future.

Probably the seal. Mine started out like that then the leak got worse.

Forgot to post about it last weekend. Finally found a used truck cap for it. I plan to paint it black in a couple weeks.

I've been busy working this week, but Monday I put some new shoes on. And Thursday found the best kinda field; one way in one way out.

Yes, that's the one! I'm following so many, I forget who is who any more ;)

I love the TRD decal idea...I may do that in the future. But for now, the only "custom" touch I have is that I painted the Toyota logo on the center cap silver to match my truck. It ain't pretty close up because I did it with touch up paint that was beyond its prime and was gooey (so I returned it after I was done with it)...but it's done and good at a normal viewing distance.

Hope that works out better for you than it did for me.

The sliders I put on in the fall are already showing surface rust in spots. And no, not where there are dings or chips... but rusting on the finish :(

It happens. I like painting, so if it rusts I will hit it again with herculiner. I didn't prep as well as I probably should have, so I wouldn't be surprised. They will start to rust as soon as the paint is scratched off anyway.

I clay bared my entire truck and gave it a good coat of wax. The paint is super smooth now. Cleanest it's ever been since it was new![IMG]

I used the Rustoleum high performance enamel on top of rust preventative primer.

    Both sprays.

Maybe come touch up time I'll use brush on.
