Where do you guys mount your amps ? Im in a double cab .
I have a rockford amp I just picked up from a buddie of mine . Its alittle on the large side . Its a rockford r500-1. Its about 19" x 9" and 2" tall.
It fits under the drivers seat but its tight and people sitting in back might kick it .

I though about placing under the rear seat in the storage compartment but I'm just not sure how to actually do it .

    Share some pics guys .

I'm using under-seat mounting for both my amps, but they are Alpine PDX models, so they are much smaller than what you're playing with. They have a small footprint, but put out around 650w to each of my subs. I've also got the KTP-445U universal power pack from Alpine, and I'm running it in 2 channel mode putting 90w to my front components. This one fits in the dash behind my deck, completely hidden.

Currently both mine sit under my front seats. My Class A/B amp gets hot though, it doesn't seem to care, but I don't like it. Eventually its getting moved to the back wall.

Ya, that's not going to be easy to put under the back seat. I would say if you plan on keeping that amp the easiest place would be to mount it on the back wall and only use one subwoofer.
I will say, if you are determined it could go under the back seat... might need some serious modifications though. There are a handful of companies that make narrow amps that fit back there. I went with Zapco: http://www.zapco.com/zapcoproducts.html

    These builds might help you:

Amps under the rear seat looks so nice , not sure if I want to deal with something that custom though . To bad the passenger front seat has that bar ...

That one setup posted above with the fans on the side and etc is just amazing !

I like the idea of fiberglass work but last time I did it , I way under estimated the cost and time that goes into Working with fiberglass . Not going that route again since I plan on have a simple setup . One shallow mount 8 or 10 nothing crazy .

wow, with just a 180 degree rotation you have 3" clearance under the bar? or were you able to fit your amp before it ?

I realize this is way old, but how in the world did you get an amp behind the deck? I know those amps are designed for motorcycles and tight spaces, but I can barely get my radio's wiring harness stuffed behind my DD stereo. Did you have to remove more than just the A/C and radio panels themselves to access some excess hidden space in the dash? Curious because I’m about to take the deck back out and will be putting more stuff back there. I’m about to install an amp (so two sets of RCAs) and an Axxess steering wheel remote adapter, so now I’ll have even less room behind there. I’m trying to mentally figure this out ahead of time so I’m not stuck brainstorming with my radio and wires out all over the place.

@Voodoochild 2k9 the axxes module will fit to the left, behind/beside the gauges. Do something to secure it though. Mine rattles...
I don't know about the amp.
