Thanks! I was thinking the same thing. I was about to spray it with plastidip but got lazy. I think it'd look cool color matched though.

You tried taking both bolts off at once, correct? The bottom one won't come out unless you take the top off with it. They're connected to the inside shackle plate together.

So I has a little problem. Yesterday we got about 7 inches of rain around here and had some pretty good flash flooding. I didn't ford any creeks but I did hit a few spots with standing water. Truck was good yesterday when I parked it. Got in it this morning, cranked it up and it started squealing like a belt was slipping, tried WD40 on the belt, no change. Faint smell of hot plastic. Did fade a little while driving, but when I stopped at a stop sign it came back louder just not as loud as when I started. About a mile from home it quit and started this awful sounding Idle. I pulled the fan off thinking maybe the fan clutch went out; cranked it for about 4 seconds but no change. I've been up for about 24 hours straight with work so my first step is a long nap.

Could be any of your pulleys. Best thing to do is just take the belts off one at a time to find out what is causing your problem. My a/c pulley went out randomly down the road on my 96, that sucked! Haha Pretty loud and bea sounding noise to be coming from your engine compartment!

Is it possible to change the AC pulley without changing the AC compressor?
