I don't have time or any knowledge to build my own.

I'd rather buy an older 80's or 90's HD and call it done. I can paint it myself, but I can't do metal work quite yet. I can do bolt-on but that's pricey

 

Whoa... that's a crazy build! That guy does some nice work. He's the same guy making the soft toppers.

 

Well... if you like over paying for a motorcycle, go for it! BTW, I hope you like working on v-twins because those older carbeurated HD's can be tempermental.

 

I'm gonna get a POS used bike before I build one.

And I like tinkering with engines

 

Oh cool I didn't know he was making anything for the forum. I was amazed by his build. He lives only about 20 min from my parents and where I lived before I moved out here. I had a few bikes......a 95 gix 750. Then a 2004
600 and then I swapped a 750 in there before my last crash. Girl was parked on the right side or road.....went to pass and they decided to pull a U-turn. It sucked. Havent ridden in years but now that I live next to my old riding buddy the itch is back! in due time

 

cb750s are great learners bike........can be had for cheap. Still give a good thrill and you can def do most if not all the work on it. Maybe just have to have the carbs rebuilt by a shop. I love those bikes.....rode a few when my buddies would wanna ride my bike. I may grab one if the right one comes along.

 

My day today and till fri looks shitty.

 

I just really want a scooter and the freedom it will give me to explore the open road whilst still achieving good mpg. I think they scream hey; I love the environment and mother nature, and don't mine looking fabulous while doing so.

 

I'd get a dual sport over any scooter. They get similar MPG, will actually get up to highway speed, they'll go off road so you can truely explore anywhere and last, but not least, you get to keep your man card!

I was trying my hand at sarcasm. I enjoy driving my cage around anyways. Plus the next motorized thing I'm buying is a pontoon boat for some slow going drunken boating/fishing/nighttime lake sexy time action

I'm looking for a mix of 3 things hard to find. V-twin, Sporty looks and upright riding. Buell is a great company by Harley, the wieght and handling characteristics are great. What I am reseaching now is the xb12r. 1200cc 0r 74ci Vtwin air cooled belt driven, now I know belt isnt the greatest on a sport bike but I will not be riding at the bikes limit. anyways here's a pic.

Yes mike a cashiers check. Most sellers are weary of them. I'm not sure of myself on a 4cyl bike
