 Bring 'em, I love fruit snacks!

Here's my list of trails I'd like to hit before of the summer:

    Gallagher Lake / Fortune Creek
    Surprise Lake (camping trip)
    Liberty West & East
    Naches (camping trip)

We could pick one or two from the list and go from there.

I've done most of Liberty West, and this weekend I think we will explore a lot of liberty East.

We could also do a local run up to Evan's creek again? There are still more trails out there I want to explore.

Gitout.com has a Naches run planned for August 24-25 that I will be going to, and anyone else is more than welcome/encouraged to come along. I would like a Toyota crew to wheel/drink with.

I'll pass on a Gallagher Lake / Fortune Creek trip, unfortunately. It's a long drive up there...

Can anyone comment on the pin stripes / trail technicality itself for surprise lake?

I originally planned to run the Evans & Naches back-to-back w/ Gitout, but after checking the calendar, I will be in Chelan that weekend for a family trip. Can't skip it this year, since I skipped last year to go wheeling :pout:

As for Surprise Lake, I did a pretty thorough write-up (with a couple videos) on it here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/north-west/237974-surprise-lake-trail.html

Chickenmunga, Digiratus, and theRaisin have been there too and seemed to enjoy it. Short trail but difficult enough to make it fun, and the ending destination is well worth it IMO. Plus, it's about 20 minutes form Evan's Creek.

On a side note, there's a NW Parts Swap thread started: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/nor...ap-thread.html

I just added a bunch of shit that's been collecting dust in my garage. Feel free to add to it, let's keep it going. I think it's a great idea!

I'm not sure about training. I thought the Night-Run training was tonight, so I was going to ask about it at the meeting.

Went up Surprise Lake at beginning of June. There is really only one section that is somewhat challenging. We made it about 100yrd from the lake before we hit a snow drift that I wasnt willing to tackle without another rig to help get me out if I fudged up. It would have put me off the side of the trail on one side, or into a tree on the other. As for pin stripes, all the small trees and brush on the side of the trail was still smashed down from being under the snow pack, so the trail was extra brushy and I really wish I wouldnt have drove my truck up there. Im sure its a little better now, but its always been pretty brushy towards the top no matter what time of year ive gone.

I ran Fortune Creek to Gallagher Head lake, and Hawkins Mt. Mine Trail 2 weekends ago... it was nice for the views, nothing difficult. I dont think ill be itching to hurry back up there though, the ease of the trail made for a pretty uneventful drive up. Hawkins mt mine trail has a couple steep sections but I cruised right up without any issue. Camped the first night in the meadow at the top, then went back down to gallagher head lake and spent the night there on saturday.
