I didn't see where someone said f'ing Florida. I can tell you that I would never say that about any US state or it's people. You never know where you may be tomorrow. Assuming that's what he/she was referencing.

It is kinda funny in a way. Here we are flipping out about cold weather camping, talking about space heaters and arctic sleeping gear, when the temperatures are going to be considered downright balmy to most of the rest of the country (I'd be surprised if it gets below the 40s). Even I can see the humor in that and I've lived here all my life (less 2.5 years spent in Atlanta for work).

It's funny though. Before I spent that time in Atlanta, 60* seemed colder than a welldigger's arse. If we had to be out in it, I was shivering and wearing a coat. After the second winter in Atlanta, it hit 60* and we were wearing shorts and t-shirts riding around with the windows down talking how nice and warm the weather was, lol. And that was only as far north as Atlanta.

So true. When we get the occasional Miami cold snap you bundle up the first day or 2 then your wearing shorts. I was born in Jersey City, NJ but lived here since I was 5 so I'm used to warm weather but I like the cold.

I ain't gonna lie..65 is cold to me. I hate the cold. I never get used to it no matter how long it lasts. I spent 5 years in Columbia Missouri going to college and don't ever wanna live where it's cold EVER AGAIN. Citrus is going to be cold and bet your ass I'm gonna be working on the biggest fire I can!!!

I love the cold. Hate being hot. You can bundle up as much as you want but you can only strip down so far.

However, I will add the proviso that I wouldn't want to drive on icy roads. Got lucky in Atlanta while I was there. It was pretty mild, but still, the only patch of ice I hit sent me sideways across an overpass (luckily I was able to recover it on the other side--was a sick feeling though). I'm a total Floridiot. I got no idea how to deal with that crap.

 

We always get the camp fire going strong. Wonder if any Christmas trees will be sacrificed this year?
