    As I bought it:

    Videos on page 2

    Pictures of each mod:

    1. Home made Shifter. It's a MACK dawg from a a truck, was something of my grandfathers that he always had in his toolbox (that I inherited) and so I thought it'd make for a good addition/reminder for me. $0

    3. Mud flap delete $0

    4. BHLM $0 (had the paint already)

This mod was not hard at all and was really only time consuming. I followed this DIY: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/65226-how-black-head-light-mod.html ... The only thing I did different was I didn't bother to clean out the old sealant and replace it. I just re-heated the lenses with the old sealant still in there and squeezed everything back together. It worked perfectly and I haven't had any fogging or separating at all.

    5. AUX input on factory stereo. $4

    6. Temp gauge diode repair to make the Temp gauge and compass work again. $0

    7. Debaged (see following photos) $0

    8. Hose clamp mod: $0 (had the clamp)

    9. Satoshi Mod: ~$40 but still have material

The badge here looks shiny but in real life it's more a matte black.

    10. DTRL $0

    11. Alternating Turn Signal Mod $0

Both 10 and 11 were pretty easy, just a little scary when it comes to cutting the factory wiring; but they do both work well. I'd suggest adding some wire loom into the supply list though just to protect those added wires.

    12. secondary air filter delete $0

    13. Painted wheels black ~$42

    14. Finished the satoshi mod by dremelling out the background plastic in the corner triangle pieces of the grill $0 12-18-13

    15. Hard wired my voltmeter $7.46 for the part 12-18-13

    16. Hit-a-Deer mod  $coming... After insurance it's hopefully -$$ 12-19-13

    17. LED's in the hood scoop and grill $FREE (xmas gift) 12-26-13
    [IMG]

    18. Bilstien 5100 Adjustable's up front $FREE (xmas gift) 12-27-13

Nice looking truck! I see you went with an auto  And I see you're getting good mpg. I'm still going on 33s with now 4" of lift and I'm getting 16-18 so I'm happy. Lol

Thanks guys for all the compliments, I'm tryin to get it where I want it... And ya..Idk where kids get the idea that you can describe it as a "broke build" when it's a '12 with full suspension upgrades, lighting and all that other stuff...

Also, shoulda put this pic up weeks ago when I got back from this event...

Went to an awesome auto show back in October and had a hell a lot of fun both on and off road. Here's a link to the thread on here that's got a bunch of pics from the event:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/south-east/291505-steven-toyota-scion-show-tell-event.html

But this is my proudest pic yet:

That's me, stock... And if you're not familiar with how stunt ramps are judged (like I wasn't), it's the distance from the bottom of the ramp (where it meets the ground) to the center point of your tire on the ramp... If that makes sense

If I remember correct I was 54" over 127.8"... I was only one of two stock trucks who attempted it and I think we were all amazed at how high both of us stockers got. Trucks with lifts and off road tires were gettin to about 70-75' over 127.8 (for access and I don't remember the DC numbers) so I was pretty happy with my truck endless to say.

Actually I really wanted a stick shift but I've unfortunately gotten used to the auto...

And if I'm not mistaken 33's are the 285's right? Do you rub at all with the 4" lift?

Also, you may notice my mpg seems to have dropped.. Sense my Fuelly has only been runnin on this truck sense July when I bought it and I've prob done a good 500-1000 miles off road that's really dragging my average down so it's still prob in the 18-19 range for on-road which I'm ok with

When I was in college I was lucky to have enough time to eat and sleep. How do you find the time to do all the mods on your truck? They look cool, BTW.

Nice truck man! I respect the budget build! It's hard being a member (and college student) on this site without drooling over other peoples trucks... Seems every time it have spare money that would be better spent somewhere else it goes to the truck... Truck mods keep a poor man poor...

Thanks! And ya, it's really hard to not just spend the tiny bits of extra cash I got on the truck.. And I sorta do already sen I wheel whenever I've got an extra $20 haha.. But I've only got 2 more weeks and it's on to the real world so hopefully in the next year or so I can make some real progress... Not that it'll ever be done of course

And ya, I coulda waited the few extra months (till about now) to buy my truck after I was graduated but I had the cash this past summer and found a great deal on it so I jumped.. Still sooooooooo happy I did, gas hurts but it's way better than my previous car!

Hey, do you have a write up on the aux port for the stock radio? My silly 08 doesn't have a plug, and I've been driving it like that since I got it. Unacceptable.

Can't wait to see what you come up with when you get your hands on a welder and some metal!

This is the one I used... http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/au...iy-aux-input-2005-2008-factory-head-unit.html

Honestly if you're lookin to do some fun mods to your truck that really (typically) don't cost much more than your time and that will teach you A LOT about it, look under the Cheap/free mods thread under Mods and Tutorials at the top of the page, lots of really good write ups in there!

And ya me too! Hopefully I can start really learnin to weld here in the next two months er so and by summer I plan to have at least my sliders built, hopefully a rear bumper as well
