I have a 6" pro comp on my wifes truck. Its good for her needs. Daily driver and occasionally wheeling back to meet me at the camp spot.

6 inch Douche Bag lift...what else do I need?
Don't mind the 6" haters. You can have a good ride and full capability with a DB lift. You may have to spend more money than on a 3" lift but it's still possible. Lots of people have done it (including myself) and can still wheel hard. It's not for everyone. Different strokes for different folks.

You can always go with a good 4" db lift as well. rcd, bds, and zone all make a good 4" lift and like stated above you can get the basic kit and upgrade your leaf packs, coilovers etc. Just depends on what your budget is and what you want to accomplish. I went with a basic 4" kit and upgraded the leaf pack etc and mine is sitting at 5" front, 4" rear with 33's. Nothing wrong with a 3" kit either if that's what you decide.

Here is a link to the rcd section

    Hi All,

Thanks for replies. My fear for the 6 inch lift is it will be rough! My fiance has a 12inch lift on his 97 GMC Sierra with Pro comp suspension so I know a rough ride! I just don't want to go 3 and regret it because the height is just not where I want it to be…..

Definitely will look into everything suggested.

How does everyone feel about California Concepts?

    Thanks,
    Annie

Whats the biggest tire that I can put on my Tacoma? 35's? I want to stick with my 18 inch rims and just upgrade to bigger tires. Thoughts?

With a six inch you will fit 35s.......with a 3 inch you can fit 35s but its a lot of cutting and pounding on fenders to do so(there's a thread on that), but 33's tend to be what most go with and you still might need to some cutting depending on how you use the truck....offroading etc. On a stock truck you can run 32s pretty much with no prob. I mean....I ve seen dudes come on here with 305s on a stock truck....doesn't mean you can turn worth a damn or hit any bump without stuffing and slamming your inner fender wells.

If you are wanting to keep your stock 18's you will probably have to run a 1.5 spacer due to the back spacing on them.

You shouldn't have any issues w a 6" lift beeing too rough.

Question. New to this. I just bought a 6in fabtech for my 01 yota. Didn't come with front struts. Where can I find these to buy seperately?
