Thanks for the measurements teneighty, looks like the 885's would give me a case of the very noticeable bro-leans.

I'll either stick to 883/884's or hit up Pugga for some measurements, I know he has Eibachs

Don't forget, that's with 1/4" top plates but you will still be a little high I think.
I've always found that even trucks who's measurements are level look nose high. I like a bit of rake myself.

    Good luck

Thanks man! Yeah I had to have blue, and I'm really happy with how well the wheels turned out.

Looks great man. Like I mentioned in the IIP thread, I love the 285s. My fuel mileage is about the same as yours in the 15-16 mpg range and I drive like an ass (within the law officer). On dry days I can still break them loose and kick the back end out (on a closed course of course). The truck with the lift, tires, and CAI preforms better than stock IMO.

Love your truck though. Nice clean job so far!

Thanks man! Yeah I like the 275's but I want some duratracs and in a 285 they are still lighter than my BFG's. I'm hoping by the time I'm ready to buy they make the duratracs in a 265/75/17 (Are you listening Goodyear?!) hahaha

Teneighty, I saw you plan to paint the rear bumper either black or anthracite. I vote for color matched, or get a bumper from a Nautical Blue Sport model. I think that'd look a lot better. I would be concerned that black or anthracite would look like a cheap replacement bumper.

Seminole, Looks like your sig pic is in the Apalachicola National Forrest. I was over there about a month ago. I love that area.

I agree that it would look way better but also cost waaay more to color match. I'd love to swap with someone for a nautical blue but that will never happen!!
I'd like to end up with a rear plate bumper eventually anyway so it will hopefully be a temp fix

Cowboy: pretty close, that pic was at Jennings State Park near Jacksonville, Fl which is roughly 200 miles east of Apalacicola but all the same forestation.

1080: I agree with Cowboy on the black. But if you are going to go plate down the road, think about resale of that stock bumper. Is someone going to buy an untouched chrome bumper or a painted black/anthracite that will not match their vehicle as well as the chrome? Just some thought. You could also vinyl wrap or plasti dip the bumper and when you go to sell it, just peel your vinyl/dip right off. You get the color you want but have the option of easily undoing it all.

Yeah it's going to be plastidip. i have anthracite an black now. I'm not too concerned with resale for the maybe $100 ill get for it. I'm going to do just the corner of each side a different color and then I can get a feel of what it looks like from the side. I really don't think it will look bad at all. Check out Chris's build http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...edcbs-black-brown-build-2011-pyrite-mica.html

Good idea with the two colors. Take pix when you're done or while doing it. Chris' build is pretty clean as well. His bumper came out nice.

When they balance your wheels do they use the sticker weights in the inside of the wheel since they are dipped?

Affirm, I asked for them. So far the dip is holding up really well. And the road conditions here are the WORST! More salt and sand than you can imagine along with -30* temps, ice and snow... I'd like some new wheels when I have money lying around... Maybe in a year or so  I'm anxious to see what the new SCS wheels look like!

I'm looking at the Bronze SCS Stealth 6 wheels. There's a sneak peak of the new ones out. Not the photoshopped one but one from SCS itself. I understand the financial aspect lol my wife is for it but the bank account isn't.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/288037-scs-sr8-new-wheel-model.html

I was thinking of dipping my current wheels. There's corrosion issues on one and the coating is peeling off in chunks. The rear are starting to bubble. Not sure what the previous owner did to them. I don't want to dip them black so I was thinking dipping then painting. Did you dip and paint or find that color of dip?

Its anthracite dip. I did two heavy coats. I'm telling you, they look like they were professionally done. I was so surprised with the results.

and yes I've seen the wheels  haha
I'm anxious for the actual release and model pics on a nautical blue metallic DCLB :anonymous:

y'all are making me feel like an advertisement for Duplicolor. I'm pretty sure they make a wheel paint also. I've played with the idea of sanding, priming and painting my wheels too.

I think the Black on Pyrite Mica looks awesome.

I really wanted the Nautical Blue, but that wasn't an option in 2011. The only blue I had the option of getting was Speedway. I'm sure my fellow nole can appreciate that there was absolutely no way I was going to drive a gator blue truck.

Cowboy, I live 45 minutes from the swamp so there was no way I was getting gator blue. Nope, not even close. I would of gone HAWT PINK with Beiber Vinyl first.

1080: I may look into other colors to see what I come up with. Or just deal with it. If they were such an eyesore I would keep them for a while.

Lovin the wheel and tire setup.. you gottta help me decide what to do. Does your setup slow your truck down quite a bit? what do you get for MPG?

I have a DCLB sits same height as yours but i put 20's and 33's on it, but it took so much power away it's just sad. Looks amazing, but i would like to get my power back. I mean, going 60 down the freeway i can barely accelerate at all without downshifting. I get 18MPG. Let me know man, i may copy your setup cuz it looks sweet.
