Sweet this is exactly what I am
    Throwing on.

I followed OZ's squeaky Dakar thread and just got done adding material and lube all over those bad boys.
    They better be silent.

I called up a comp that specializes in leaf springs and he told me they are nipple extenders. I wasn't sure if that was the technical name for them or not, but I did a search using nipple extenders and the results didn't fare well at all

Anyhow heres the link I found a while back, works for me.

The dakars in the rear are they the full pack or did you remove any. When you say 1/4 inch top plate is that the same as a spacer ?

    Thanks

Alright... tax return is going towards new suspension.

My truck: 1998 ext cab 4x4 TRD. 180,000 miles on original suspension.

Pretty set on the following set up:

    OME 881s
Dakar leaf packs + AAL (I run a fiberglass topper almost all of the time. I'm assuming I want the AAL)
    Nitrosport shocks all around

I will 97.8% still run 31x10.5 r15s BFG ATs on the stock alloy 15x7 wheels. I do not foresee ever adding an after market front or rear bumper or winch.

    My questions are:

    1. What else do I need to definitely buy with the lift kit in terms of bushings, etc

    2. Can I get away with using the stock UCA, LCA and LBJs?

    3. Do I have to worry about the angle of the CVs?

    4. Do I need extended brake lines?

    5. Do I need a BPV bracket for the rear drums?

    Thanks in advance.

I drive down the road sounding like a flock of birds with mine. I need to find that thread and lube my dakars up as well lol

Thanks guys! Gonna give this a go this weekend. I can't get rid of those squeaks even when I had the stock ones on.

Keep the leaf pack clean too , grit in between the leafs causes noise

Stuff and things that make it better.
    1.
    (2) - SB88 Poly Spring Bushing Kits
    (1) - OMEGS12 Greasable Rear Shackle Kit
    (4) - OME U-bolts
    (1) - FK21 Exhaust Bracket Kit (if you plan on keeping your exhaust stock and not chopping it)
    (1) - OME95PF5 Front Trim Spacer 5mm (if you want to, takes care of the Taco lean)

    2. Stock is fine but I have yet to see someone get over 2* of caster with stock UCA's (Boxrocket still has stock UCA's if you need to get better info)

    3. CV boots will have premature wear with the new angles so you can do the boot slide mod and/or get a diff drop spacer (I went spacer but also plan to slide my boots when I get some time).

    4. I haven't yet but plan to, cheap insurance.

    5. Yes, multiple fab shops sell them or you can make your own (I just bought a $1.00 bracket from Home Depot and extended the BPV back up to stock height).

I suggest ordering your kit from Cruiser Outfitters, they have great service and Kurt is awesome at answering questions concerning all things OME. Also, I have a set of 881's with 3K miles on them sitting in the garage if your interested ;)

It's not the caster that would wear out your tires. You should be fine.

True. I've seen 305 MT's in a stock Tacoma. They fit though they must have a hell of a time turning.

    Thanks man, I appreciate it.

If I'm going to be dropping this much cash on a suspension, I think I'll spend the extra few bucks and get new 881s. Appreciate the offer though

Is that for one tank? 255? What setup you running. Jeeze I hope mine doesn't drop that much. I get at least 300 to the tank now stock with 265/70/17s.
