What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

One of the rear (drum) brakes is sprayed. That's when I wised up and covered the rest before I started. So the other rear brake is clean, and so are the disc brakes up front. I'll clean off the outside of that drum brake next time I have the wheel off.

As for the overspray on the tires, it wipes off so easily with a rag that I didn't bother taping it. I'll just wipe off the excess in the morning.

In hindsight I should definitely have just taken the wheels off for this, but oh well. What's done is done.

 

Bought new P245/75R/16 Michelin LTX M/S2 tires for my 2012 Tacoma SR5 4cyl 4x4. These replaced my OEM original tires. Mileage was just shy of 25,000. OEM's were already shot and wore un-evenly. Gave a terrible ride with vibration in the steering wheel.

 

Ordered weathertech mud flaps. Trashed the stockers because they're waaaaay too large.

Got everything installed last night and have to do the alignment after work this evening. No chance to drive it yet other than to get it out of the lift so business could resume as normal this morning.

 

Ridiculously easy! The hardest part was removing the A/C control panel; I didn't know how hard I could pull on it, and was afraid to break something.
