Prolly wont have a prob un screwing it. Just cant get it to seperate from spindle.
But even so I will need to change it now.

I wish it would come out easy. i use 5lb sledge and the castle nut broke threads on tierod were a bit mangled but i got the new castle nut on it. Anymore pounding ill prolly bend tierod. Almost tried with the 10lber

I smacked the spindle where it seats and mine popped right out. Tie rods are cheap. Pickle fork that mofo and be done with it once and forall.

 

Funny... I just did that to chads old ones. They are ready to go.

Anyone know the part # for the top long bolt on th UCA?

 

I did pickle fork it. Squeeze all the greese out. Fucking crazy

Sounds like we need to petition to have this JLee guy removed as a vendor from this forum because he can't seem to get his act together on customer service. I've personally not dealt with him, but after reading the last few pages, and other times before this, I wouldn't ever think to give him my business. I saw Jay's sliders today, the areas that they are showing rust, shouldn't be rusted at all. Just looks a crap paint job. I have demello sliders, and the rock gouges aren't as rusty as the paint job on those BAMF sliders. My suggestion to you JLee, own up, or GTFO.

 

I have two of those bolts in my basement looking for a new home.

Pickle fork it harder, flat side on the seat, angled side on the joint or in your case the tie rod, and beat the shit out of it. They also have pickle forks for air hammers, may be something to look in to.
