I feel left out haha... That was awesome of you guys to set that up. Good work! I was happy to be a part of such a good even and it was nice seeing everyone.

It's pretty crazy how a community of people can get together for such a good cause from all over the front range. I'm glad to be a part of the Tacomaworld community. I'm looking forward to meeting up with all of you guys again sometime. Hopefully next time I'm on time and actually meet up with you guys before we stop to eat haha.

I had a really good time. So glad that I went. I look forward to doing some more rides with you guys in the future.

I will be up in Park and Summit County starting Monday and driving all over the area for 3-4 days. Hit me up if anyone wants to join me. I can meet anywhere you'd like so we can go for a run on the trail.

I had an awesome time! It was great to get out on the trail, meet new people, and put names to faces. Thanks to NYCO for leading on the trails and Sean and Devin for organizing the auction/raffle/restaurant!

Agreed. I especially appreciate it. We were in the same unit together. Didn't know him but we weren't far away from each other. I really appreciate everyone who came out to support a fallen soldier's wife. It means just as much to me as I am sure it did for her. Thanks again everyone.

It wasn't me, but if you provide the beer at a later date, I'll provide lessons on how to drink mass quantities of it.

Alright guys, sorry for the short notice, but I realized I'm quickly running out of weekends up here.

Seeing if anyone wants to join me for a weekend wheeling up in this corner of the state. Not a ton of very rough wheeling, but some interesting country nonetheless.

    Next Weekend 8/16-8/17.

Picture with good views to pique your interest:

    IMAG0746_zps4b6d8a8f_1147d6388726fc43249832bba9d60fdde4cfd609.jpg

Plan is to leave out of Steamboat sometime Saturday morning. Doesn't have to be too early, we can leave late enough that those of you with a 3 hour drive from Denver can make it up.

Start off by heading north of Steamboat to hit Farwell mountain.
    http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=403

It's a fun trail, a few obstacles but nothing too big. Hardest part are a few steep climbs with lots of loose rocks. Like this:

    DSC00344_zps23fc1f6f_19547ce765de05c04f55ecdacd1a742fa6001580.jpg

View from the top is pretty amazing.

    IMAG0750edit_zps2e356b6f_abf454b08eaea1b62b4751c0dfaa27954dd0ce9f.jpg

    IMAG0751_zps4ea16482_d210710ad398416605c9e8f63fe3894174137ba9.jpg

From there we can take some forrest service roads, and gravel roads, to hit the Ellis Jeep Trail.
    http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=168

Trail boarders the Zirkel Wilderness Area, and is famous for a very muddy section. Hit it yesterday without much issue, lots of sections like this:

    DSC00348_zpsa9454527_9a528d883c55ef7e33a1aaa13d7cb3ff65a85e10.jpg

Camping Saturday night at Hog Park Resevoir, hoping to get in early enough to do some fishing, just need to get myself a Wyoming fishing liscense. All of this could probably be done in a stock rig, but some lift and bigger tires would help. Skids/sliders are not really necessary.

Sunday plans are up in the air. Options include:

-Head back to Steamboat via Elkhorn Mountain, http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=406 and Sand Mountain. Once back in Steamboat we could hit Elk Park. This trail:

    IMAG0712_zpsvn7fbbrc_ce5f7f12cebc6963f7630362fc99ca7667dca9ec.jpg

    IMAG0714_zpsrxrykeqj_5088ddaa22d545131ec58de465a9ab125535fd40.jpg

BTW, bypass to that mud pit has been opened up.

And if we had time, we could hit Rabbit Ears Peak on the way out.

-Second option could be head to North Park. This could include hitting the sand dunes, Montgomery Pass, Baker Pass/Jack Creek Area.

So, who wants to join me?
