How could we miss it? It has clogged up my news feed on the facebook TW page and all over this forum and now on this (jacked) thread. I'm all for marketing your business but at some point it just pisses off consumers...like now...

Is that new line better than the AmSteel?

Thank you for your feedback. Was thinking this would be a good place to let people know about the sale so they could save a few bucks.

don't know...I haven't had much luck goggling it. I have spent about 30-45 min looking into it. It looks feels higher quality than the Am-steel. It is a different shade of blue...almost purple-obviously that doesn't mean jack shit-just saying. It also has a tag shrink wrapped in clear near the eye that has the specs and date of manufacturer. Just got off the phone with Superwinch. They said that all Superwinch Synthetic Winches will now come with Marlow line as opposed to AmSteel Blue because of the lower cost for the same or better quality/specs...

To GEARAHOLIC, 1 post on a FB page isn't "Clogging" anything up. That page moves so quickly, that things are off the front in an hour. Pelfreybilt has been nothing, but helpful to folks, and a contributer to the forum.

Im not seeing an issue with it, as many folks come into this thread to see what others are running, and a simple post about a sale shouldn't cause harm.

If Im wrong, or some folks think otherwise, feel free to PM me about it, and we can discuss your thoughts. Otherwise, IM OUT! :)

No harm. God knows we all have those days. Gearaholic is a good dude, and I don't think anyone has a beef with him.

My initial aggravation stemmed from seeing the advertisement more than 5 times over the last few days in multiple venues. Although I am not your target audience (as I already own the best winch ever made) I can still assure you that the market is fully saturated with your advertisement. It further annoyed me that a thread titled 'show us your winches' is thread jacked by a vendor that doesn't take the time to show us his winch, nor does he actively contribute to the recent & relevant thread content/conversation; and instead posted an advertisement about selling winches, while plugging his company created thread about selling winches on his winch selling website. Lastly, my annoyance was exacerbated with the additional TW fanboy (AKA manwithabonetopick) wanna-be-mod posting about his assessment of my alleged bad day- thus further taking the thread off topic. Thankfully chris4x4 was able to quench any potential beef and get in a few posts toward his 100k mark. Thanks everybody! [IMG]

    P.S.

    Using your logic Tyler:
I have been trying to off load my custom bumper for quite a while ( http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...custom-light-bar-w-hoops-recovery-points.html ) ...so it's safe to assume you wont mind if I post this thread link all over Pelfreybilt pages right? I was thinking it would be a good place to let people know about my bumper so they could save a few bucks...oh yeah and if you or anyone you know wants something really unique, I still have not found a buyer for: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/bu...ad-bbq-ice-chest-sound-system-10-000-obo.html

    Much love,

Hmm well this thread got considerably more interesting....

    Dear GEARAHOLIC,

    1) With the amount of advertising on the interwebs these days all I heard out of your point is "It's working." Since you have the "best winch in the the world", clearly you should just move along or tell anyone you know who is looking for a winch. It is relevant to what people come here to read and all he did was post a picture and link. He didn't put his whole pitch in the post. Just a reminder.

    2) Winches don't really go on sale that often. There is little to no markup on them. For any one coming here to learn about winches that sale might be what they needed to be able to afford one.

    3) Manwithoutaplan clearly was onto something.

    4) Socalduckslayer (Tyler), First of all, as a person is an exceptionally good person who bends over backwards for anyone. I know this personally I have seen him go out of his way dozens of times for people. I could have bought any armor I wanted for my truck. I chose Pelfreybilt because of how well he treats his customers and because his products are made to the highest quality.

You know what is funny he probably would let you post your stuff in this thread. Partially because your stuff is a perfect example of why you should buy from Pelfreybilt, but more importantly because he is a nice guy.

He is working while simultaneously launching a new business. Have you launched a new business? Do you have any idea how taxing it is? Sorry if your finger got carpal tunnel from rolling over 1 additional post about winches in a winch thread.... For real dude? Get over yourself. Your posts created an entire page of bullshit irrelevant to winches.

    5) I started this thread and I'll allow it. If anyone has winch related sales or deals that seem relevant for anyone looking to buy a winch they should post it in here.

    6) I completely understand and realize your rant had probably nothing to do with Tyler, Pelfreybilt or Winches. I am sorry for the stresses in your life and anger that you feel. Maybe you should start a You know what grinds my gears thread and bring your rants to there and just post links back to it in the threads that piss you off? Might make for some solid literature.

    Give me a hug bro
