The $700 to $1200 is right on. It cost me a little more than $700 a DIY project. That included the cost of a set of donor headlamps.

Very easy to melt the headlamp when heating them up for the lens removal. Don't ask me how I know

 

Look at asianants retrofits and ambiguous retro fits in the trading pit/ buy sell trade area

 

Headlights... Took it on once. Never again.

Got them apart no prob. Reassembly is the bitch.
Rather build grills & pay someone else to do it.

BHLM is really easy. If anyone wants it done you can come over and I will do it. I still have the paint for it too. I want to make a how-to video and put it on YouTube.

This is a very generous offer. I've seen enough BHLM photos on here that it's got my attention, just can't quite bring myself to throw them in the oven!

 

In case you do not know place the headlight on cardboard, like a case of beer cardboard flat, and not on the metal grate.

 

It's really not as bad as it seems. I was pretty nervous the first time. I even checked the lights a good amount while they were in the oven.

I bought a wooden cutting board for this project. Wworks great And you can pick it up all at once.

 

Steve I live fairly close to you and might have to take you up on that offer, let me do a little more headlight research first though.

 

Yup I've been looking to do this mod as well steve but haven't had the balls to do it myself. I'm pretty close in the Hereford Zone as well.
