    I took out the whole hub and bearing and gave them to my dad to take to work to press out and press the hub into the new bearing.

    The only thing I replaced was the bearing itself. It's mounted in a casing though, you need to take 4 bolts out the axle nut and what not and "tap" it out. you gotta be careful not to bed your backing plate though, you can tap it back into shape, or it'll just bend back on its own when you sandwich it between the knuckle and bearing housing. took me around 2 and a half hours to take them out and reinstall them over 2 days (had to wait for my them to come home with dad :D)

    I spent 50 bucks at toyota for 2 seals and 1 oring and got the other matched at a hydraulic place for free, and the bearings them selves were 140 each. I could have got cheap bearings for 90 bucks but I want them to last a little while. I need to replace the inner seal on the driver side. It's toast. That'll happen in the spring. If you're going to do your bearings yoy want to get the dust seals because if not it'll eat away at the bearing and it won't last. The guy at toyota told me they normally only replace the outside (it's pressed in between the hub and the bearing) and the inner one you can do if you take the axle out.

    Dakota i got moog wheel bearings from advance auto parts for 110 a piece. 45 mins to uninstall and 45 min to reinstall per side. so about 3 hours total. Although it may take you less time if you can use that lift. Mitch is a lucky bastard to have quick access to a lift

    Mine were moog aswell. NSK bearings.

    Canadian problems, 30 bucks more for the same part

    I'm not sure, but I drove on a bad one for a week or two with like 2 short highway trips. It'd only groan and vibrate bad when the steering wheel was turned to the right though. If I were driving a long trip, I'd get an extra.

    And I knew it was the driverside because 1) thats where it felt was coming from 2) I jacked up that side, grabbed the tire with both hands in multiple spots and moved it back and forth and felt it move slightly, meaning slop in the bearing.

    x2 they'll blow apart and weld themselves onto your hub before they seize. My passenger side pressed off in 2 pieces and a load of ball bearings on the floor... Dakota its cheaper to buy moog bearings and get them pressed than it is to buy pre-assembled. 110 a bearing and $40 a hub for pressing (unless you know someone, for me it was $20, or mitch where it was free...)
