homemade intake?

Just wondering if anyone has made an intake for 05-09 2.7 tacoma? or should I just get the afe? I just hate putting out the 250$ for an intake.

 

You'll get better results for your money from an AFE pro dry s drop in filter.

 

Empire performance and offroad fabed one up. Do a search I think it'll be in a v6 post about homemade intake and there's a link for the site I'm referring too and it'll help you out with coming up with something. They made a "cai" for 15 bucks

 

Home improvement and a excess gas dryer vent pipe, then you can have yourself the best intake on the market for only $20.

That's the thread and at the bottom of the first page is the link about what I was talking about. Also someone made a straight tube from the box to the throttle body, I don't ever know what really was the outcome to that
