I currently have a long bed and was looking to buy a new tacoma and thinking of switching to a short bed. I just wanted to know how well dirtbikes/motorcyles would fit in a short bed. All the pictures I see have dirtbikes without a bed extender and it looks like the tires extend just past the tailgate. Just curious if they will still fit with a bed extender?

get a reinforced tailgate. The tacomas have a weak tailgate construction and have been known to bend/arch where the back tire of a bike would sit.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
a light dirtbike will be fine in a SB. If you are hauling a 700 lb cruiser, the tailgate (imo, even with the reinforcement) is not a good idea.
