Ok to make long story short my friend is moving to Germany for about 4 years and we have always talked about going to the top of pikes peak(We lived in FL and he still does). Now I live in Kansas City and about 3 weeks ago my friend and I decided we have to check an item off our bucket list. So we are making the mad dash trip out there. I would like to maybe find a trail near by there that we could go on that's not to extreme. Any help or advice or hell if you wanna hang out we will be there next weekend.

Definitely post up in this thread when and what trail you'll be hitting. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/upcoming-colorado-events.187907/page-483#post-10246251

Some may be able to join you! I live pretty much a the bottom of Pikes Peak and I'd love to tag along, but unfortunately me and a large majority of us Colorado people will be in Moab for Rock Therapy next weekend.

Be sure to let loved ones/friends know where you're going as well just in case you have any problems. We've been having a ton of rain for the last month and it may be snowy and muddy on some of the trails, and they may have been changed a bit due to that. :)
