[Purchased 7-2-15]I think much wider tires. & No others am aware.
I've pretty much only owned turbo charged cars. . I've wanted a Tacoma for years. . I now have a 99 sr5 v6. I did some reading of past posts and have gathered that seeking to get more power from the truck is not a worthy endeavor. 1) do any of u run yours without your catalytic converter? What was the result?. 2) Are NGK V power spark plugs a good choice? 3) what synthetic oil should I run? And what about running Lucas with it? 4) How do you feel about running seafoam?

    1. Don't do that, it won't help. Someone reviewed a Dynomax superturbo muffler and said they got 10HP from their Taco, not sure if they're blowing smoke or not. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...oliid=I2ZUPWBRMQWJ68&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl
    2. I used stock and have had no issues. The truck was basically built to run optimally from the factory.
    3. I use Mobil 1 0W-30 with stock Toyota filter, and get about 18/16 mpg with 33s and about 400-500lbs of extra armor/shit bolted/welded/somehow attached to the truck.
    4. Seafoam is garbage. If you want a good fuel cleaner, use Chevron Techron concentrate. If you want to clean out the top-end of your cylinders, look up "water decarbonization". Does the same for less money. Or you could just redline it a few times a month.

    1. Yes, removed it when it clogged on me. Gave me a code which i removed and it hasnt come back. No other changes. 2. Use any quality dual electrode plug 3. some people swear by their high dollar synthetic oil but as long as its changed regularly i dont think you will have issues running a cheaper oil in this engine, Ive used a lucas oil additive with a "seal conditioner" in my rear diff and was surprised to see it stopped my seeping pinion seal. 4. Ive used seafoam a few times... not sure if it improved anything or not...
