I recently bought some ICON 05-Up Tacoma Rear Reservoir shocks (56503R) and will be getting some all pro leafs (3" lift). Will these work with that leaf set up? Their website wasn't very informative and would like a sanity check..

I also ordered the ICON's 05-Up Extended Travil Front Coilovers (58635) and believe that I can get away with a stock UCA as long as I don't extend it past 2.5".... Is that correct?

Any input is welcome and Thank you

@cbannister83 i recommend you get the extended and collapsed length of these rear shocks. then give @Tracy@All-Pro Off Road a call and ask her. shed tell you anything you need to know.

For what it's worth, I have (56503R) shocks and I don't have any problems. So the short answer is "yes, they will work". But I do believe that my shocks are now the limiting factor on my rear suspension for downtravel. I compared them to my stockers and they're only about 1"-1.5" longer (extended- I did not get a collapsed measurement). Given that my leaf pack added a couple more inches than that, I'm sure there's room there that I'm not utilizing. Not a huge deal for me as my offroading is what I would call "average". I don't get too aggressive on the trails and am not concerned with parking lot forklift flexing because the reality is that my truck will most likely not find itself in terrain that extreme. It's my daily dirver as well and I need to be able to take it to work on Monday so I really can't afford to break stuff on the weekends. If your plans for your truck are more than that, I would say get a custom shock made. I believe Icon can take yours and rebuild them for more travel for a relatively small fee (check their website for price breakdown), but your best bet is to call the source directly for more accurate information.

Your ICON shocks will work with our leafs. If you run an extended travel coil over with stock UCAs, your truck won't align right and also your shocks will travel farther than your ball joint allows and it could break the ball joint.

Let me know how we can help you!

Thank you Tracy and I'll be buying some of the all pro leafs soon. With that do I needs anything else other than the leaf? I'm a noob who has to to everything himself, sorta part of it I guess.

Sounds good! With the standard leafs, you don't really need anything more or different. It never hurts to upgrade you ubolts, brake lines and bump stops, but they aren't necessary. If you are going to run the expedition springs, you need to be sure to have extended brake lines and longer u-bolts, like what we have in our u-bolt flip kit.

Give me a call or shoot me an email when you are ready! Let me know how I can help you! We were all new at some point so don't worry about asking too many questions!!

    Tracy,
I'm guessing that I can't order the leaf springs now..? I was checking out the UCA's and 15% off is pretty good and would like to get both. Can I still put in an order for both...General Manager? lol

Hey, there! Sorry for my late reply. It's been crazy here. I can get you a sales order open for the springs at 15% off. I expect our springs back in stock around December 15th.

Let me know how I can help you!

    Tracy,
Thanks for the reply, I got your email as well. For now I am going to wait, but certainly going to get new leafs soon. Looking forward to getting my UCA's, going to match the sliders. To bad they don't come in different colors..Thanks again.
