    What he said^

Even though I will be rebuilding the rotopax holders using metal unless I build the bed rack with a skin.

Thanks, it was a PITA and I would not suggest it to anyone that doesn't want a challange (or works with fiberglass)

You're going to ditch the fiberglass fillers?

I love them for sure but I never finished sanding and shaping them so they are pretty rough.

Nice. Worried about the extra weight from steel at all?

Not really. I could actually use a little more weight in the rear and, now that I have a welder, I feel like I can make them much more useful.

Can the Fiberglass shell deal with the weight there? I know nothing about how strong these things are haha.

These shells are quite thick. For top weight, the manufacturer recommends the use of a Yakima or Thule rack which is rated at about 175lbs which is weight that can be handled while in motion. Static weight limits are much higher. As for the windows, I have never seen any numbers for weight or strength but I believe that the steel would be a little heavier but actually give it a little more structure then the fiberglass does.
I know I haven't been updating much. Finals week at school and getting frustrated with the truck. I did the CMC again on the passenger side (I cut it all the way to the body mount bushing bolt) and I am STILL rubbing when I am going over something and turning at the same time. The only other option is body mount relocation and I really don't want to do that.

I tried to wire some stuff for the dual battery and got frustrated with that because that stupid door triggered dome light has some messed up wiring.

Thanks! I am glad I did it but would never do it again lol (lots of work)

The weather has been pretty shitty for a while now but today was pretty clear. I decided to get under the truck and redo all the wiring even though it was still wet out. I tore out pretty much all of the shitty wiring from all of the mods I have done in the past in preparation of installing the Bussmann setup. I also tested the PAC-200 and it worked just as I wanted it to.

I will do more tomorrow. I got a decent way into the wiring process but I got held up on the fact that I need this to make it cleaner:

Then I have to finish up the redoing the CMC.

Great looking truck Kolt. I've been thinking about doing something like this, might refer back to this in a couple months! With those couplers, was it a pain in the ass to line them up so that you can remove it easily?

Sorry for not updating you guys... basically right after I did my last post here I was struck with a wicked sickness (possibly ecoli) and I've been in bed or bathroom ever since.

Thank you. The couplers really weren't as hard as I expected. I got the tubes started in the shape that I wanted but only taped or tack welded them in place enough to keep it constant. Once I had the whole shape finished I cut the tacks and turned them as I needed. The front most coupler meets virtually so I take that off first by pulling horizontally away from the truck and the back coupler meets at the same angle as my sliders (a few degree tilt) but isn't a problem with the front loose.

The whole process is a LOT of on (measure), off (bend), on (measure), off (bend), on (measure), off (bend), etc. but I started by marking my rod from end to end with .5" increments for reference since bending would distort the measurements later. All off it was educated guess work lol

If you want to play in snow, come by my place on your way home from ID. I took my truck out with 31s on a 3" lift in my pasture and had a bit of truble dragging my front skid and rear diff through. I'm north of Spokane now instead of Lake Stevens where you saw my last house.

Hey Zach, I haven't heard from you in a while. I appreciate the offer but we are on the schedule of many other people as well. I can't do a whole lot with the truck at the moment because I just put the 35s on and am having clearance issues with the cab mount. I tried to get it taken care of before I left but ran out of time.

I don't think I ever got around to posting my "finished" battery setup. It was a pain in the ass trying to get all the wires stuffed in the back and I still need to add the actually lights to the rock light circuit but I have been running it for about a month now with no major issues.

No mods as of yet other than the fact that it is lifted. I just purchased the vehicle, so I am eager to see what everyone is doing with their rigs!
First of all, sweet truck! Secondly, I was wondering if you might be able to help a brother out a bit. I purchased the same 2012 touch-screen stereo on the cheap for my 2006 Taco, and I have been trying to find a pre-made wiring harness for the power/ audio input. Did you have to make one yourself, or were you able to find the part online? Also, if you were able to find the part online, would you happen to have the part number? Thanks for your help!
