What does everyone use to get around the lug nuts?

Whenever I stop at a dollar store, I always look for cheap brushes. They never seem to have the same ones twice. But every time there's some new little brush that I pick up. And then when it comes time to "clean a lug nut", or anything else, I more than likely have something on hand that will work. Check both the cleaning section, as well as automotive. I've even picked up little brushes in the cosmetic section.

Take a paper towel (or a part of one), twist it really tightly so it's like about the size/diameter of a pencil. Then fold it in half. So you have a little loop at one end. Spray lugs with wheel cleaner. Then you can just stuff that stout looped end of the paper towel into the spaces around the lug nuts and agitate.

That will be fine as long as you don't have aftermarket wheels. My XD Spys swirl if I just look at them. No way would I use a paper towel. lol.
