They always shake my windows all the way down in goleta. I'd love to watch a launch on base in person!

You can feel them real good up here in Lompoc. When an atlas goes up, you can feel it in your chest. Good spot to watch them is up on Harris grade on a clear night.

From what I've read it's the clockspring, although my cruise control works and I don't have the airbag light on. Here is a DIY thread on how to replace the clockspring thingy https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2nd-gen-clockspring-replacement-how-to.106114/. I wish you didn't have to remove the entire steering wheel. Hmm. Add it to my list of things to do... I would let it go except drivers in this area are HORRIBLE and sometimes I wish I still had the ability to honk at someone. However, if this cable controls both CC and the airbags, I'm kind of worried if my airbag is affected (although the light isn't on, weird). I will be checking fuses to see if it's something easy- otherwise this is gonna suck! Maybe we can have a mod day @Deadhead63 ? :p PS they say it usually happens after having had steering rod work because it causes the cable to snap from friction- I've never had work done. I do make a lot of U-turns, could that be related?o_O Anyways thanks for chiming in guys!

That doesn't seem too difficult to do. Wonder how much that clock spring is? Hasn't there been past TSBs for this exact thing though!?!?

Mine started with the horn only working intermently, cruise control still worked an no airbag light. Then one day the horn stopped altogether, then the cruise control stopped and the airbag light came on. Think it is like a $200 part. I looked into it briefly and said fuck it. I only missed the horn really.

Yeah, I'm not sure anything close $200 is worth it just for my horn.....At least I still have my CB with the PA system for the times I really need to make some noise :notsure:

Yeah let me know if you're interested.

Anybody interested in a back up cam? not free...

I was going to install it on my truck. It's one that replaces your stock rear view mirror and the screen is on the mirror. You can't tell it's there unless it's on. You can wire it to the reverse lights to come on or to always be on.

I still do kind of but the wheels I'm getting are pretty light compared to the bead locks so that should help some. I was going to swap the tires but just don't feel like biting the cost up front and selling these nice tires for really cheap. Decided that when I wear these down, I'll just downsize then.

Yeah I know but it isn't awful, just noticeably slower than the tacoma. It is also like 2000 pounds heavier though.

They are really odd. Need spacers or you can't run them. 5.25" bs with +25mm offset
