I have a 2009 TRD Sport DCSB and back in the days pre-camper shell my dog would ride in the back seat. A few months ago, while I was in the store my dog decided to throw up a ton of bile all over my seat. Unfortunately I was out of town and didnt have access to my steam cleaner so I did my best to clean it off with one of those shitty self serve vaccuum/shampooers you see at car washes and gas stations. Needless to say - it didn't work and now months later my beautiful truck smells like dookie every morning when I get into it.

Does anyone have any suggestions aside from replacing the seat to make this smell go away?

Shitty man, some asshole (or my wife, not sure who) spilled something in between the passenger seat and the center console without my knowledge. Months later my truck started smelling sour and I never leave anything in there. Pulled the seats to install seat covers and saw a black gelatinous pile of shit embedded into the carpet. I bought Chemical Guys carpet and upholstery cleaner. Followed the directions and took some elbow grease. Truck smelled like lemons for a few days and now has absolutely no smell, awesome product.

I used the product on my seats as well. Not for smell removal but for stain removal. Worked well.

Nice!! Yeah man you'll have that stuff forever. I bought the gallon and I've diluted it down and I've only used about a cup to do my whole interior.

This stuff works great on anything biological (shit/piss/puke). It's enzyme based, and completely gets rid of the smell. I have used it for years in the house. I have also used it to get rid of stains from soda spills, and it cleans all the salt stains out of my floor mats.

Sounds like its a very similar product to what Pablo suggested. Thanks, everyone, for the input!

Yeah, it does look similar. It's all about the enzymes.

BTW, the stuff I linked to can be bought at any pet store.

I attest to this stuff as well. My house was covered in piss accidents from my dog. I was using rubbing alcohol for a long time but it wasn't cutting it. The house was getting worse and worse in smell and I couldn't figure out why, so I bought a gallon of this stuff and went to town, the smells and his amount of accidents disappeared that same day. I swear by it now.

After you clean the carpet and the seats the sell smoke bombs. I think meguiars makes some that will leave it smelling fresh so long as you removed the problem

I usually go with carpet cleaner, chemical guys makes great stuff. Then I'll spread carpet powder, 'I love my carpet' works well. I'll let the powder sit for a day then vacuum it. And at all times I'll leave a jar of coffee grounds with saran wrap with holes poked in it in the pocket of the back seat door. Coffee grounds act as a natural filter.

I think the only way is to remove the seat and clean it completely. That stuff stays in the upholstery forever and comes out whenever it is hot and humid. I've had a dog do this between the seats and where ever it hit will smell eternally.
