This was one of the first serious mods that I did to my truck within weeks of purchase in 2012. My truck is a little different now, but I must say that these mirrors are an excellent product, and greatly enhance visibility and the safety factor when towing wide loads.

    work_ready_zps25frsogm_6757f65ffdaf33eec9faf9359445702c1ac44bb8.jpg

They are sturdy, don't vibrate, look good... and for navigating tight bush roads, they fold in as well. They do take a little getting used to, but I like them. They are a 'truck' mirror.

    My truck now:

Thanks, Rob, for a great and useful product.

Depending on how you have your Sport decked out, I'd go black, as they don't clash with the colour-matched bumpers or any black armor that you put on the truck.

If you already have chrome wheels and running boards, well....

But that's just my .02 and it's your truck!

thanks for the feedback taczilla. And yes, that's basically the nutshell I'm in right now!
Wife likes the chrome because it's "flashy", I worry it will be "clashy"!! o_O
I'm barebones stock right now. Might one day add chrome running boards/steps but no current plans.

And of course, chrome can always be painted over to be black (but a bit of a waste of $$) yet making black into chrome would potentially be troublesome. And I'd much rather not have to change them afterwards.
    Hmm....

Edit: Either option is probably better than the clip-ons, image attached...

I'm interested in the heated ones but don't have the OR Sport so no wiring there for the turn signals (as far as I know it isn't wired). Has anyone added the turn signal along with heat?

The '12+ should all have the wires for the LED's in the doors. Although many people have told me if your truck did not come with signals in the mirrors from the factory, then even though the wires are through the doors they are not hooked up to the wiring harness. Just follow the directions that come with the mirrors in order to wire them in. The heat was never an option for a 2nd gen so you have to wire them from scratch. We provide the p/n to the factory highlander switch that most people like to use (if you have room) as well as give a link to a well written write up for wiring up for adding heated mirrors
